> 24 hourNice color selection. The fact that the floss comes pre-wound on bobbins is handy. Color numbers do not match DMC floss. Also thread works much better if you use a thread conditioner otherwise shread knotting occurs as it passes thru fabric.

> 24 hourThe kit has a lot to offer for a great price. However The water soluble pins are not water soluble. They ruined my project and I had to start over from scratch.

> 24 hourThe materials within the plastic casing seem to be of good quality. However, the plastic container did not fair well. The option to contact the seller isnt showing up, but hopefully theyll make it right.

> 24 hourLove the variety of colors. The thread seems good quality to me. The scissors it came with are kinda of awful, but that’s okay.

> 24 hourI gave this to my daughter for Christmas and I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It is organized beautifully, in a nice convenient case. She has been using it for six months or so and loves it. It came with every color she could possibly want to make friendship bracelets with and after many bracelets, she still has plenty of thread. Of course she did run out of a few very popular colors, but overall I was very pleased with this kit and it made an excellent Christmas gift. I feel like if I would’ve purchased the thread individually I would’ve ended up spending a lot more

> 24 hourThis is a nice kit that includes scissors, needles, and lots of colors. HOWEVER, this should not be listed as embroidery floss. Its more like a thin yarn, which would be really good for linen and perhaps other types of material. It is not the kind of floss you would use for cross stitching or small holed mediums for embroidery. Having said that, if you are doing some sort of crewel or perhaps other kinds of crafts, it is a very nice kit that would also travel nicely. Just be aware when you purchase of what youre using it for.

> 24 hourSo this was a gift when I turned down a package of a different brand multicolor floss. I wanted specifically just one DMC 6 strand floss that the nearest craft store was out of. Because I use custom made patterns that upon making I chose the brand DMC, I needed that brand. out of the choices that was the one Id heard of, the one my grandmother used, and they have a huge selection of colors that reliably look the same, you can find it by name or number. now lets talk about the breakdown for beginners, for any level really, this is an EPIC package. So many colors, maybe not all the ones you want. I have an upcoming project that need 47 colors and its missing 16. However I want to point out that DMC has over 500 colors and getting 30 that i needed? Thats impressive. When it comes to the value for money, I want to point out that one of those bobbins cost around $.55 USD EACH. On the offical DMC website? $.99 This runs for about 40 bucks? so anything more than 80 colors is a great deal. This kit says NOTHING about using DMC, but after checking the color of 10 different flosses and they seem right (screens arent prefect) overall, the numbers for the yellows are right, Im very sure that this is actually DMC. So the kit comes with 3 trays of 6 sections, and one tray that comes with 4 sections, having removed two so they could have all the extras, with the stitch cutter was something that I also wanted to find. each small section can have 10 colors in it, so in theory this can hold 180 unless you take over the part that has the extras, then it could hold 210 and it doesnt give you separators to have the option, however, i bet its a standard size and that can be a thing. The colors come randomly inserted, I have taken the time to organize the floss, removing ones i am going to use for my next project. Funny enough, the one color I wanted? yeah, not in this kit. there is duplicates, and not colors I was expecting to be duplicated (like 310, blanc, ecru, or 5200) Now I have one section that is empty implying that I only got 170 colors, however, knowing me I prob put more than 10 in a few sections because it could fit. I def got less than 180 colors though, which is def less than the 200 that was promised, which is the main reason why I took away a star. another reason why I took away a star is how freaking hard it is to close... Now lets break this down to the other stars. Is this good for beginner? this is good for any level. 170+ colors with very few doubles? you can make so many projects. How about value? did you know that one of those bobbins are about $.55 USD at most craft stores? or $.99 on the DMC official website? if you pay less than 80 bucks for this, you are getting deal. Okay, how about is it giftable? Yes, yes yes yes, if you have someone who likes sewing, making friendship stuff, or working with colorful thread, this is a great thing, unless they do not like the brand DMC, or only want a different brand. Now like I pointed out earlier, nothing in the box that I was given said that it has DMC for floss, I had to look up the colors for myself to find out. Once you know its DMC you can go to a few places to find out the name for every color number you are given. however, I LOVE this

> 24 hourI recently started embroidery and I decided to get this kit. Overall I would give it a 3.5 since it has the basics in there but there’s no list for the floss. It also did not come in order so I organized it by number (yes it took forever). Frustratingly it doesn’t have the colors I need for patterns I want to try online and there’s hardly a “similar” color to swap it with. I guess it’s fine since it’s a basic kit and the floss is like .59 cents each. Just don’t expect the colors you need to be in there!!! The dividers are very flimsy but since it’s organized now I don’t really mind. I haven’t used the needles/other materials since I have some that I am using currently but I do have to *WARN* users that the pen ink seeps out fast/a lot when you’re tracing. It doesn’t quite sink into the fabric (I used Cotten/linen) and could smear of you don’t wait to let it settle. I haven’t used fabric pens before so maybe this is normal. I hope this helps! 991, 986, 977, 976, 975, 972, 970, 967, 964, 961, 859, 957, 956, 955, 936, 937, 932, 931, 930, 927, 926, 924, 922(2), 921(2), 919-17, 915, 907, 906, 904, 902, 900, 894, 892, 891, 890, 841, 838, 832, 829, 828, 824, 823, 820, 816, 807, 801, 800, 789, 796, 794, 792, 791, 783, 778, 775. 772, 760, 754, 747, 744, 742, 741, 732, 727-25, 722, 720, 718, 704, 702, 699, 666, 605, 648, 645, 612, 602-01, 598, 581, 563(2), 550, 543, 503-02, 470, 469, 453(2), 541, 444, 437-35, 433, 414, 402, 356, 353, 352, 350, 340, 333, 322, 321, 316(2), 315, 310, 307, 211-10, 208, 166, 165, 163, 160, 155, 150 3866, 3864,(2), 3863(2), 3862, 3860, 3859, 3853, 3852, 3849, 3848, 3846-44, 3842-37, 3836(2)-34, 3830, 3825, 3824, 3822, 3819, 3818, 3814, 3812(2), 3810-07(2), 3805, 3802, 3799, 3772, 3766, 3760, 3746, 3743, 3726, 3722, 3705, 3607, 3364, 3326, 3078, 3053, 3047-45, 3042, 3041, 3023, 3021, 3011, ECRU, BLANC, B5200 814, 818, 839, 3051, 3865, 3777, 3371* I forgot I took these out to use
