> 3 dayI was pumping using a size 24mm for 2-ish months before realizing I was really a size 17mm. The hospital I went to only carried size 24mm and 28mm flanges, so I was told I was a size 24mm. Dont trust them! Use a nipple ruler and find out your true size!!! Life saver! Pumping with ease now!

> 3 dayJust like the Spectra flanges. If youre pumping and not getting anything out but still left with full breasts, your flange is probably too big. If youre using the standard 24mm honestly its probably too big. You have to measure the nipple only, just the little button, then add a few mm to it. I was having an awful time pumping, kept feeling numb, starting getting less and less milk but constantly felt my letdown forcefully. I measured my nipple finally and after trying the 19mm first, seemed to find a perfect fit here. Your areola should not be going into the flange! Thanks maymom!

Greater than one weekIf youve been told your a size 17 then buy these! Having appropriate flange size pumping parts is vital to pulling the most milk possible. Most pumps come with larger flange size parts, so I desperately needed these. They worked well. The suction was strong and efficient without being uncomfortable. These worked lovely with my Spectra S2 pump. Dont hesitate- but them!

> 3 dayWe wanted to be proactive. At the colostrum phase 17 mm appeared to be a good fit, AFTER the milk came in 24 mm became a good fit. 24 - 28 mm is also the most common size. You may not need to go smaller from what comes shipped with the Spectra. Wait a few days after the milk comes in and reevaluate.

> 3 dayI previously ordered silicone flange inserts to size down existing flanges, but I had a hard time using them because I couldn’t see my nipple through them well enough to tell if it was centered or not. Since purchasing these, I don’t want to use the others even though they’re the same diameter. I replaced my duckbills at the same time as switching to these flanges, so I can’t say that it’s all due to these, but my milk output is SO much higher, and I can empty my breasts in much less time than I was previously. Highly recommend these.

> 3 dayThis is my 3rd purchase of successively smaller flanges. I use a motif luna which came with 24 and 28 mm flanges. I bought their 21 mm (too big) and maymoms 19 mm (also too big). These 17 mm are pulling the least areaola into the tube of any yet, so I think this is where Ill stay. When I purchased the 19 mm maymom, I bought the whole replacement set as I read some reviews that said that the spectra parts did not fit seamlessly with the maymom flanges. The 17 mm flanges work perfectly with that set, as does my pump. Someone mentioned in a review that it doesnt say the size on the flange- it does. If you look down the tube, it is imprinted onto the plastic at the end. Very happy with this purchase.
