Item was just what I expected

Youd be a fool to buy mild steel bar at this price. Go to your local custom fab / industrial fab shop and pull steel out of their bin. Youll get stainless, aluminum, and mild, and toss a 40 to the boss man for metal that wouldve cost you 200 + for.

Ive made a couple blades from this steel. Its shipped untempered, so its very soft and malleable. Very good for grinding and shaping. Once its tempered, the blades hold an edge very well. I will definitely buy this again. Its top notch.

The product is good, its 1095. No cracks or scratches on it. 1095 forges easily and is good steel, thats about all I can say, as it just a billet.

Made a Damascus billet with this 1095 and 15n20 and the 1095 did not etch, pretty sure i didnt get 1095 steel, wasted a lot of my time to not get the results i should have gotten

The steel is great. Once you anneal it.
