The blanks I received were well packaged and look good. Today I tried to cut one to make an iron for a wooden hand plane. The steel I received was not annealed and was not workable. Im very disappointed.

Made a Damascus billet with this 1095 and 15n20 and the 1095 did not etch, pretty sure i didnt get 1095 steel, wasted a lot of my time to not get the results i should have gotten

Seems okay but not annealed. If so, not correctly. Having to anneal mine. Thats why I gave it a 4. Takes time and money.

Great knife steel for youth to start learning with after trying low-carbon metals. Fun! Hard!

They look good but too hard to use files on and drill into but not so hard that I was able to fix the bend in it without heating.
