I bought the 50 pack and placed 3 in each of my ammo boxes. I suggest buying more than you think youll need. They are a nice sized package and the seller page has a lot of detailed info so read that carefully. Ive seen sports stores online sell smaller packets for more money, so Im happy with buy.

I primarily bought these for my camera equipment. I typically carry my photo gear in a backpack camera bag with a couple spare lenses etc. I hike a lot in the White Mountains of New England so I face humidity in the summer and cold temps. in the winter. One thing you dont want is moisture in your bag and camera equipment. I toss a few of these in the bag and problem solved. These will work for most situations where you need to reduce/eliminate moisture.

I always use this product to store my bags and shoes.

I have been using these for a long time and not only use in my home but use in a vacation home it is humid. They help to keep the moisture down and items stay fresher. I even put them in my running shoes.

I kind of stumbled across these gel packets, which I have tried to find but didnt know what to call them. I had some from a few products that came with them and saved them to use in crackers and peanut containers. Great to have new ones that I can easily replace when they no longer work. They change color when the drying agent is exhausted and can be recharged with a microwave.

Some people day not food safe etc, you need to watch which version your buying, the white bead paper packs with blue writing say food safe on the bag as well as described above, they have multiple products and some arent food desiccant, theyd be used for ammo, jewelry etc and but they also have the food safe type, just read what your ordering and you should avoid this problem. The bag even recommends using the food safe packages for multiple foods, they can also be used in alot of non food items as well. I think some people are ordering the wrong packets that arent meant for food on accident or something because everywhere iv checked its food safe and quality checked. I use it in Mason jars to keep spices and dried foods nice and crisp. Recommended

Whenever I buy Silica packets, I always weigh them. This is (to my knowledge) the best way to insure that they are fresh. Silica gains weight as it absorbs moisture, until it reaches its saturation point at 120% of its original weight. So, 5 grams of silica gel should weigh 5 grams when it is fresh, 5.5 grams when it is half-saturated, and 6 grams when it is completely saturated (and no longer functional as a moisture absorber). These packets weighed in at between 5.4-5.6 grams. Factoring in the weight of the wrapper (.4 g), I conclude that they average 90% effectiveness out of the package (+/- 10%). Thats good enough for me, and way better than the useless packets that you can get from unscrupulous or ignorant retailers. Shop with confidence.

Little expensive for what they are, but they seem to work fine.

I take great care of my books. I put one or two of these per shelf. My books are not stinky. I believe them to actually do what the makers claim. Ordered and they were shipped to me FAST.
