> 3 dayI use these to keep the humidity correct for acoustic guitars. And I measure/monitor the guitar’s humidity in its case. The first batch of these I used were amazing, 2 packets could keep a guitar around 45%-50% humidity for weeks. The recent bag I received barely keeps them below 54% when I use 6 packets. And requires constant changing of old silica packets for new. I’m happy to change my review if the company wants to make this right.

> 3 dayWhat I love about this brand is that it only requires about 5 packets in a 5 gallon bucket of food.. when the package changes color (blue to purple) they have maxed out the moisture absorption... take them out and pop them in the oven (follow instructions) and it will reset them!! Ready to use again!!!! I use these for anything that wont be eaten within a week to keep it fresh!!

> 3 dayUm... these 5 gram packets SUCK. I used a couple of 2 gram packets from another brand to prevent donut icing from melting inside an airtight container. I tried 2x these 5 gram packets to see if theyd work even better and they DIDNT WORK AT ALL. The wrapper holding the silica beads for these 5 gram packets is water tight. I know this because I did a test where I threw one of the 2 gram packets of the other brand with little holes in their wrapper into my sink with an inch of water in it. The silica gel beads immediately started crackling and splitting from absorbing so much water so fast. These 5 gram packets just float on top of the water in my sink without incident when I threw 1 in. Then I forcibly submerged it, still nothing. I had to tear open the packet to let water inside to hear the crackling sound. I can only assume these packets are meant to absorb trace amounts of moisture at a slow rate to keep clothes and such fresh that might be stored away for a long period of time. This brand of packets TOTALLY FAILS at keeping other hydroscopic foods fresh.

> 3 dayThese are a great thing to have. I have used them to put inside my purses when Im not using them. It keeps the old moldy musky closest smell away. I put them everywhere I can. Just be careful to keep out of the reach of children. Or just make sure teach them they are not to eat...

> 3 dayProduct is ok, does not really do the trick unless you use multiple at a time.

Greater than one weekPleasantly surprised by the size of the bag. I got more than I thought I was going to get once I started reading the instructions. According to them, if they get really saturated they turn yellow. Another way you can check them is by weighing them, once the weight is 40% greater than the original weight they are exhausted, they come in at 5.8 grams, so you should change them at about 8.12 grams, of course this means each packet should be able to absorb a couple grams of water. They also say a humidity indicator card is a good way to check, and when the humidity exceeds 30% they are spent. Finally, last thing about the instructions, they also say you can reactivate them! This is done by using an oven or a microwave on defrost. Awesome.

> 3 dayMy dogs probiotic supplement was clumping but not no more. I put one of these in the container and it remains as powder. I am happy with these packets especially since these are food grade.

> 3 dayI bought it to use it with bags where I could have foods for long term. Then I read that is toxic and should not use with food. I will use it with other articles to control humidity.
