> 3 dayIn short: it works and keeps bread fresh. No more mold. Buy this product. I ran across this product while searching for reasons my bread gets moldy so quickly. I’ve wasted so much money on bread that I needed a solution. I’ve tried storing bread in a kitchen drawer, pantry and breadbox. Storing bread in the fridge extended the shelf life but the bread was dried out AND soggy in spots. Weird. With this product, my bread has stayed FRESH on the counter for over a week so far. One packet placed in a 24oz loaf solved the problem. The product description states you can reuse the packets but I don’t think I’ll do that. It seems odd to reuse a product that absorbs food moisture. Very happy with this purchase!

Greater than one weekKeeps things dry. I place these in a safe to keep papers from smelling moldy. And with clothes (in plastic liners) to keep them fresh. I also throw them in with the vitamins to keep them crispy and like new. Every few months I check the weight of the packets. Very simple math. If they are over 6 grams they need a quick visit to the microwave or oven as described on the instructions included with the product. Following the quick oven visit, theyll be like new, and ready to go back to work. These are top-notch and reusable many times. Definately 5-Stars--- I can highly recommend these to others.

> 3 dayI purchased these almost exactly a year ago to put on my windowsills. We had just moved to Missouri, and I was concerned about the humidity factor and the temperature changes from outside to inside. I hate scrubbing mold buildup off my windowsills from condensation, and had the idea to try these after watching how much condensation build up there was already on our windows in mid-October. When they arrived, I wiped down the windowsill with a diluted bleach solution, and threw a few of these on the sills. I have not had any mold issues at all! I absolutely love them, and recommend this solution to anyone sick of dealing with mold accumulation from condensation (a lazy and or busy womens solution to this minor household first-world problem).

> 3 dayBought these to put in my ammo cans to keep everything dry. So far so good. I live in Florida where humidity is high, especially during hurricane season when power goes out and everything gets damp. So, these should help keep everything dry.

> 3 dayDuring the pandemic, I got into gardening and ended up growing some crazy amounts of spices in my garden. Due to a fallen tree, my garden needed to be completely harvested quickly. Originally, i had everything just stored in jars, but my first few batches of basil started to get moldy, and i ended up having to toss quite a bit. I decided to deal with the problem by drying them out, but using the oven, laying in the sun, heck, even the microwave still left enough moisture to be concerned. So, i decided that If its good for Jerky, its good for my Thyme and picked up these desiccant packets to throw into the jars. the packets are convenient, and so far, seem to work. Ill edit if anything changes, but so far, they seem to do exactly what youd expect.

> 3 dayJust over a year ago I purchased these Silica Packs to help protect my stored ammo. If the silica inside these pack stayed clear then my ammo should be moisture free. That is unless these packs didn’t work as advertised in which case seeing clear silica would indicate a “False Positive” for the presence of moisture. Quite by accident I learned these packs actually DO work as advertised and they are VERY effective in the indication and absorption of moisture. Please see Photo One followed by Photo Two for details.
