I always lose hole saws but now keep them in a case next to the drill press.

Tried to cut holes in sheet metal. Was worthless for that application. Should be taken out of the description.

This was exactly what I was looking for. A simple, cheap way to make a few Cornhole boards. Was able to make 2 perfect holes in 1/2” plywood with this saw and a two handled corded drill. Using the reverse direction method, and going slowly- almost no sanding was needed to clean up the holes. Plugs came out with ease. I would not want to use this with a cordless drill or count on this to make my living, but for the amateur hobbyist- it’s about perfect.

This 6-inch hole saw came with two extra drill bits. The hole saw is thick steel at the base and is machined well. The hole saw arbor(shaft) is stout, the arbor shaft is a big 1/2 inch (the normal ones are 1/4 inch shaft) so make sure you have a drill that will fit it. The abor fit well on to the saw and drive pins lined up easily. The saw cut a pretty clean hole with not a lot of splintering. (The pictures are no clean-up or finishing) It made a pretty exact 6 inch hole (that is the size hole for corn hole boards) The only issue is that the saw teeth dont seem very sharp. (It went through the wood without an issue)

I bought this to cut holes for recessed lights in my back porch ceiling that is 29 ga metal sheets. It makes and awful noise and wouldn’t even cut through the sheet metal. I ended up using tin snips by following the ring the saw made into the metal. Metal just gets hot from friction after you try cutting through it for a long period of time. it worked well with sheetrock ceiling though, but not really why I bought it.

This hole saw cut 16 (sixteen) 6 holes through 3/4 Shop Birch plywood and still in good shape. Each hole was somewhat slow going, about 10-15 minutes per hole with pauses to keep from overheating and to brush teeth. Cutting from both sides assured clean cuts on both sides and did router to smooth edges, but no chipping or gouging. Super happy with results.
