the package sounded like sand or charcoal(yes) loose in the packaging! And there was charcoal from the filters but hopefully the filters still work!

I get twice as many at this price compared to what I was paying in the store.

Just like the other reviewer stated, the carbon was all over the place. It was all loose inside the box and spilling/leaking out of the box. Price was great, but perhaps this was a defective one.
