Greater than one weekThese work really well for stripping paint. I had a garage door I was trying to refinish and it had years of paint in it. The levels of paint and drips made it so I was tempted to use a plainer to get all the coats off but decided to try these. These brushes made the job so much easier and faster. I like that I am able to angle them however I need to get a detailed and clean job. I really appreciate these and the way that they make taking paint off a breeze.

> 3 dayThese do work for stripping/grinding paint pretty rapidly, but they are not an exact fit for a typical angle grinder. They do not fit on the shoulder of flange like most other discs do. Instead it merely slips over the shaft with a loose fit, hard to center, which makes them spin slightly off-center, which is sort of dangerous. Surprisingly it didnt equate to much extra vibration on the tool during use. In my photos you can see the product, and in my last photo, Ive compared it to how discs are supposed to fit. I did brave using these despite not being able to get it perfectly centered, and they did perform the job of removing paint from wood very fast. Although they did remove paint quickly, I had to ding the rating a little because of safety aspect of not being able to center these perfectly. My summarized assessment of this product is that these will do the job, but there are certainly safer products available.

> 3 day8 Pack Strip Disc Stripping Wheel - for Angle Grinders Remove Rust Paint Stripping Wheel Clean Coating Welds Rust Oxidation (4 x 5/8) Mount easily to multiple brands of angle grinders. Abrasive stripping wheel for material cleanup. Easily cut through rust, paint, and automotive undercoating with ease. Be careful using them with a softer metal or wood due to the chance of leaving grind marks in the material. Highly recommend.

Greater than one weekExcellent for removing heavy rust after scaling. These are amazing to keep on hand for clean up prior to welding. Really long lasting wheels.

> 3 dayIve never used this style of disc before, only flap wheels. I gave it 3 stars because I had a problem with it fitting on my corded Milwaukee. The thickness of the wheel was too deep for any spanner wrench I had, except for this universal spanner that thankfully would barely tighten the plate. So right away, the disc removed metal no problem. For reference, I used it to remove rust from angle iron before welding, and it did quick work of that. After that, I used it on a brand new outdoor griddle surface to remove the shipping oil, and to make the surface smooth. At first, it did a good job. After a while though, it seemed to get loaded up. When I stopped and looked at the wheel, it did have some melted surface area on it, about 10-20%. Im new to these strip discs, so maybe thats normal, maybe its not. It also embedded plastic into a few areas of my griddle top that then became nearly impossible to remove with sand discs, brake cleaner, denatured alcohol, etc. I pretty much had to burn it off during the seasoning of my griddle. Pros: They last a long time. Good value for the money. Less dust (I think) during rust removal. Cons: Disc was too thick for my spanner to fit on my Milwaukee, AND 2 other no-name grinders. they loaded up about 1/3 of their life.

> 3 dayI got these thinking they were like the stripping pads I use with my drill, but these are meant for a grinder. My drill pads are just pads with a hole that you screw down an arbor. Those can be used on either side but applying flat is not possible because of the arbor screw. These wheels have a built-in backing and metal reinforced arbor hole in the backing plate. The downside is they can only be used on one side. The upside is I can use them as a flat stripper with my grinder. I have a HF grinder and found the hole in these fit the grinder but were too small to fit around the indent in the nut. Thus, the force of the grinder was simply on the metal reinforcement band of the stripping wheel. That being said, I had no issues when I used this to smooth down old mortar from removed tiles. They worked pretty well, and perceptibly seemed to not wear down as fast as my other wheels. However, they also started being less effective about half-way worn as the surface became smoother from grinding the mortar. But overall, I really liked using these better than a wheel on a drill.

> 3 dayThese stripping wheels are very aggressive and remove paint quickly and easily. This is what you want. Make fast work of removing paint and corrosion. I just stripped a deck to get it ready for fresh staining. Dont overdo it with pressure on softer woods because it will remove the wood fibers, leaving a rough surface. Also keep control of the angle grinder or the edge of the wheel will dig in and leave marks. Stripping metal is good too, but the same applies to stripping aluminum. Will leave circular scratches if you arent careful and paying attention. But overall, these work well for general stripping use, corrosion cleanup, etc.
