> 3 dayWorks well so far but considering the price of pre-owned Nintendo Wii ($50~$80), its a bit pricy I think.

> 3 daythis is the second time I replaced the drive on my wii. instillation is extremly simple. find a good youtube video to show you how. Make sure you remember where each screw goes. there are several different sizes and 2 types of screws.

> 3 dayThe tools that came with are cheaply made and would not loosen my Tri wing screws, (Tri wing screw drivers are not easy to find and alot of people have not heard of them). I had to Wiis that needed repairing and the main one I needed fixing, was not able to be done as I could not loosen the screws. So I tried on box #2 I switched everything out and still have the same issues. Still waiting on Tri wing screwdriver to take the first box apart to switch out, but I’m s currently ready to just remove and return. Had to watch a few YouTube videos to figure out how to change this.

> 3 dayI was trying to find a specific sprocket part that was causing my old one to make a bad noise and not eject the disc properly. Well I found out replacing the whole DVD drive was going to be just the same cost if not cheaper, so I ordered this. It was a simple plug it in, screw the Wii back together and it worked as good as new. Very happy with the product.

> 3 dayThis item replaced the DVD drive on my old wii. I pulled up instructions on ifixit and went through the process. The included tools are helpful but low in quality. The spludger was pretty much destroyed at the end. Two comments in the instructions are helpful. First, the included tri screw driver needs to be filed down because the point is too sharp to engage the screws on the unit. Secondly use needle nose pliers to disconnect the faceplate, not tweezers because you risk cutting the wires. It took a little longer than I expected but the outcome was great.

> 3 dayMy 2006 WII stopped reading disc the other day. this was able to get it working again. Install wasnt too bad, lots of little screws with a few of them under the feet or little stickers. keep track of where they go and it should back together easy.

> 3 dayFollowed a YouTube tutorial to install (a must for this task I believe) and used the cheap special screwdrivers I bought for the job and the Wii is working like new again. Pretty easy job, cheap fix. This drive looks and feels exactly like the original. And just swapping the drive out kept all the game memory intact with no fuss. Definitely a better option than paying a lot more for a refurbished unit of unknown history.
