Ordered this as a replacement for my wii when it kept saying it was “unable to read the disc”. It came as advertised and was easy to install and is still working great!

Years ago the disc drive in our Wii stopped working. I took it apart and got it working again, but it was very noisy. Recently my kids found the Wii and wanted to play it, and while it worked it was super noisy. I found this replacement drive and installed it. Super simple and it worked like a charm. Now the Wii reads discs and it is quiet again. It is like a brand new Wii console!

The original drive on my Wii stopped working (clicking sounds and error messages on tv screen). This replacement took about 20 minutes. Might be better off with your own repair tools but what they provide is good for one time usage.

After a decade of not being able to use our Wii, I found this option and so glad I did! For $33 our Wii is working like new again. None of our games would read in the drive before. We switched it out with this drive and now our games are working like new again. All of our previous game saves were able to stay. Super happy with this purchase!!

Easy to replace via online instructions... wii is working again

I got this today and had it installed in my sons Wii in about 30 min give or take. The wii was giving a cant read disk error code . Swapped out the drive with this one and we are back in business. If you are even a little bit handy you can get this done. Watch a couple YouTube videos and get after it . Oh and if you dont have tri wing screwdriver set you will need to get one . I got mine right here on Amazon set of 5 for like 8 dollars.

I am a happy camper! Because I refuse to go back to the gym during these times, I dusted off my Wii but my game discs kept ejecting from my 11 year old console. Disheartened, I researched and decided to take a chance and ordered the replacement drive. A friend installed and it worked! Now I can do Zumba, play volleyball and tennis in my family room! Yea!

I was trying to find a specific sprocket part that was causing my old one to make a bad noise and not eject the disc properly. Well I found out replacing the whole DVD drive was going to be just the same cost if not cheaper, so I ordered this. It was a simple plug it in, screw the Wii back together and it worked as good as new. Very happy with the product.

Great product, fix my Wii right up cheaply internet instructions, YOUTUBE! Made it very easy just watch your screws! That is the hardest part. Ps. You have to buy special screw drivers to install it in the Wii.

This disc drive works excellent. The beat thing about it that it says it doesn’t play Gamecube games and those were the fisrt i tried and it did played at least for me. My original disk drive that came with the wii at some time it couldn’t played all the wii games i have like Xenoblade but with is it was fast. The only thing that bothers is that it makes a lot of noise well obviously depends on the game, like the laser it’s doing a lot of work I just hope it last for a couple a years. The other thing it that I find it a bit expensive IMO. Edit: Since 8 months with this, stills works.
