06-06-2025Excellent monitor, very nice size. Just did not come with the HDMI cable as it says in the instructions. It does come with the other cords and attachments.

Greater than one weekI bought two of these for a dual monitor setup. Unfortunately there are no instructions on installing the base of the monitor. The Quick Guide states that The monitor base is attached onto the monitor before shipment and it is undetachable. This is clearly false as nothing is attached to the monitor. Rather, there are two pieces included: A round base and a middle bracket. Attaching the middle bracket to the round base was easy to figure out. However, attaching the middle bracket to the monitor was not easy. On the first monitor, we tried different things and none worked. We then thought the base is pressure mounted so we tried to push it straight into the back of the monitor, and that broke two plastic tabs on the brand new monitor! On the second monitor we were more careful. After a few more tries, we discovered that you need to angel the middle bracket into the back of the monitor and then lift up for it to attach. If you do it right, it will work easily and quickly. If you find yourself forcing it in, then you are doing it wrong! Acer could make this easier for its clients by including installation instructions. Other than the above, its a nice monitor. I have a VGA and HDMI outputs on my computer so I used the VGA to connect to one and a 6 ft HDMI cable for the other monitor: TIP: If you need to use the HDMI port like I did, order the HDMI cable with the monitor as it is NOT included. They might have included it in the past as some of the reviews says it is included, but it sure was not included with the two monitors I ordered in Jan of 2019. Also, it seems there are two versions of this monitor: one with speakers and one without. The latter is more expensive. I choose the version without speakers as I already have external ones.

> 3 dayI have three of these monitors in surround. I am a pretty serious gamer and I wanted these monitors for the thin bezels and anti glare screen. All was good when I got them and set them up. Man do they look nice! The stand is pretty high quality and the screen in very thin. On first boot they were bright and decently colorful. Not as good as my old one, but for the price not bad. I soon noticed that the color was not the same on all monitors. one of them had slightly less bright whites, and one had whites with a slight tint of yellow. This was mostly fixed with some adjusting in the settings. So far these issues are easy to look over since they look so nice and nothing beats having three identical monitors. However they are not that great for the one reason I bought them for: Gaming. These monitors have SERIOUS image ghosting. If you dont know what this is, its when the pixels leave a shadow behinds moving images on the screen because they cant change color fast enough. This adds very noticeable white and black shadows in every game even the desktop. Coming from a higher quality (now discontinued monitor) these do not perform very well in that regard. The pixels are very slow. Even textures with little contrast get blurred when moving forward. Now I am giving 4 stars because of the price/performance. They do what they said and look nice. But if you are a serious gamer that is used to a nice responsive image look for a lower latency panel.

> 3 dayEasily one of the best, clearest pictures I have seen on a monitor. Easy to set up and is a very good buy. Unfortunately cant say the same for Amazon/Acer quality assurance. When I opened the box I had two VGA connectors and half of an AC adaptor. So I had to go out and buy a new AC adaptor because Amazon makes you return the entire monitor to just get the other part of the adaptor. My advice - great monitor, but buy it somewhere else because Amazons customer service is a joke. I also just cancelled my Amazon Prime because of this. Mistakes happen I understand, as I make plenty. But poor customer service can be prevented, and with so many people working from home, Amazon has a monopoly and could less about the customer.

Greater than one weekI purchased two of these for my wife, for light gaming and entertainment purposes, to replace my old dying LCD and a small TV. I knew she didnt need particularly gamer-centric features like GSYNC or 144hz refresh times, so this seemed to fit the bill. I have to say Im pleased with what I got, considering how little I paid. The zero bezel design is really nice if youre going multi-monitor, though it was difficult to get the frames lined up correctly because of how awful the stand is. Its this cheapo non-VESA insert that can very easily tilt or be installed off-center, and since the frame has no rotational give its hard to readjust the bezels without applying a scary amount of pressure to the frames connecting mechanism. Its legitimately a bad stand. Theres no mitigating that fact. However, everything else was fine. Neither screen had any backlight bleed. The IPS viewing angles and colors are really great, coming off some terrible TN and television products. The panels themselves are very thin, no bezels, absolutely no wasted space on the desk. The default settings seemed pretty good and didnt need significant calibration. The brightness is satisfactory. The menu UI is satisfactory. I wish it had DisplayPort connectors, but using one DVI and one HDMI port is sufficient for now (on a NVidia 970 at least) since Im only running at 60hz. Due to how thin the panel is, the connecting wires stick out the back instead of lining up vertically underneath, which lends the setup a slightly unclean look, but its not a major concern. Some people have complained about ghosting but Ive had no problems with the default Overdrive = On setting. I think if Id only been in the market for a single monitor Id probably look elsewhere, something with 1440p instead of 1080 and a few more bells and/or whistles, but if youre looking for a dual- or tri-monitor setup on the cheap I think this is a great option.

03-06-2025Gorgeous picture and great product. Exactly as described. Can’t be mounted on an arm though without a special adapter that is pretty much impossible to find. Even for models one number off, the adapters won’t work. Might be able to Jerry-rig something from the current stand but haven’t gotten that far yet. Not sure it’s worth it. Better to just search for a VESA compatible monitor and cut my losses.

> 3 dayNeeded a cheap, compact monitor to bring back and forth to college and not be too worried about. I was using my TV as a monitor prior to purchasing this, and its night and day compared to the TV (obviously). This monitor is extremely thin, and has a really slick, edge-less design. The colors of this monitor are amazing, better than anything Ive used before. I guess thats what you get with an IPS monitor. I am running a GTX 1070 so this monitor is a bit low-end in comparison to the card, but it is working great for application. The screen really is the most vivid and beautiful screen Ive ever used. Even the 60Hz refresh rate is amazing, because I am used to gaming on an xbone with cinematic 30-fps. I feel like for the price, there is no better option. Once I am out of college, I will upgrade to a 1440p IPS paired with a 144Hz TN monitor, but for a college student this is more than sufficient. Some minor things I dont like about the monitor: -The external power brick is annoying. I would rather have it built into the monitor and have the monitor be a bit thicker. -The stand isnt the greatest design. It is not convenient to remove either. -Buttons are hard to push. In combination with the less than great stand, pushing the power button causes the whole monitor to tip and usually it rotates or moves when I do this. Not the end of the world, but it is annoying to have to hold the monitor down when pushing the power button. But even with these few reservations, I think this monitor deserves a 5-star rating simply because of the performance and quality you get for the money. I paid around $120 for this monitor which feels like a great deal for what I got. The screen itself, like I said, is amazing, vivid and clear. 10/10 would buy again.

03-06-2025Added to my laptop for work purposes at home and it rocks. Exactly as described. Nothing complicated about setup. Using Windows 11 if that means anything. And, the HDMI means that streaming Prime Video looks spectacular. If my laptop had a second HDMI port, I’d quickly buy another.

> 3 dayThis is a good basic monitor if you are going to use it for your office. I would not recommend it for gaming though.
