I returned them, so anything I say will be limited in knowledge. Firstly, I got these because I was recommended them by a friend. This was my first mistake. Because I took my friends recommendation, I didnt read the product description and failed to realize these monitors do not have VESA compatibility. That in and of itself is not a deal breaker. I happened to have a VESA adapter on hand, but when I set it up... Yikes. It didnt work with the adapter at all no matter what I did. I dont know if thats the monitors fault or the VESA adapters fault, but after a half hour of struggle, I was getting frustrated. With the monitor connected to the adapter the best that I could get it, I decided to test the monitor itself by plugging it in and turning it on. That went about as smoothly as was expected. The monitor itself seems like it has nice quality, but for some reason everything on my screen was just off quality-wise. The resolution was incredibly wrong and could not be fixed no mater what I changed my display settings to. The color wasnt right either. A half hour of struggling with the display settings later, I was at peak frustration and turned the computer off to salvage my mental health. During this time, I spoke with the friend who recommended them, and we agreed it was time to return the monitors. I ended up turning the computer on one last time to print the return label, and at that point, the resolution was actually not terrible. I guess turning the computer on and back off again helped reset whatever was causing me problems. I actually considered keeping the monitors to try and see if I could troubleshoot the rest myself, but I ultimately decided to return them. In conclusion, I think these are probably good monitors. They just did not work for me, and I dont know if its because my monitors were faulty, my equipment was faulty, or if it was something else entirely. I personally just do not have the skills or knowledge to troubleshoot computer problems, especially when setting up a monitor should be a piece of cake. I ended up buying another Acer monitor, and it worked instantly with no struggling or troubleshooting, so take that as you will. 7/10 did not work for me but could have been great for someone else (maybe)

Bought this to replace a smaller Acer monitor (over 10 years and going strong) and Im so happy with it! Great picture quality and great sharpness. Only upgraded due to my old Acer being a small screen. I dont do gaming on it but more of work with Excel and Word not to mention all the on line stuff. Highly recommend!

Easily one of the best, clearest pictures I have seen on a monitor. Easy to set up and is a very good buy. Unfortunately cant say the same for Amazon/Acer quality assurance. When I opened the box I had two VGA connectors and half of an AC adaptor. So I had to go out and buy a new AC adaptor because Amazon makes you return the entire monitor to just get the other part of the adaptor. My advice - great monitor, but buy it somewhere else because Amazons customer service is a joke. I also just cancelled my Amazon Prime because of this. Mistakes happen I understand, as I make plenty. But poor customer service can be prevented, and with so many people working from home, Amazon has a monopoly and could less about the customer.

So the title of my review is to catch anyones attention. Now that youre here, Ill explain why I want your attention. This monitor is very good (so far). I am typing this review on this monitor and it is amazing but there are some things that I would like to point out. Here we go. PACKAGING 5/5: the packaging was very well done. No missing cables or components or anything. The panel came very well guarded and didnt have any type of damage of any kind. INSTRUCTIONS TO SET UP 2/5: Ok, here is where I am really going to complain. It was very difficult to set this monitor up. I have uploaded some pictures to give you an idea. Here is the thing, the manual says the following The monitor base is attached onto the monitor before shipment and it is undetachable. Well, one of the pictures that I have uploaded shows the monitor (covered in a white protector); the ring base; and another piece that connects both that I will call the bridge separately from each other. English is not my first language so I may be mistaken but, monitor base attached to monitor to me means exactly that and not that the parts come separately. I have NO problem with setting it up, thats not my complaint. My complaint is that it says that it comes attached and then doesnt tell you how to attach the bridge part to the monitor Now, I will break it up into a few steps. Step 1. You take the ring part and the bridge part and you join them together. Plug and play. Once you do that, at the base of the ring piece, there is a white screw that you have to tighten using a coin. So far, so good. This part is clearly explained in the manual, no problem. Step 2. You take the bridge + ring and insert it into the bottom of the monitor and you press it hard. I mean VERY HARD until you hear a sort of POP and it locks in place. This sounds simple, right? It actually is if you have instructions, which Acer doesnt give you. The instructions manual does not explain this. I kept pushing the bridge + ring into the monitor and couldnt understand why it wasnt working. I looked for a locking mechanism of some sort and couldnt see it. I was trying to be gentle because I didnt want to smudge the monitor but I also had to hold it hard to put the bridge + ring in place. I unscrewed the bridge from the ring and tried to connect that to the monitor. It would just fall off and I didnt know how to make it stay. Out of pure luck and 20 minutes of trying, I guess I must have used too much force and it finally locked in. I was scared for a second because I thought I broke it but then I saw it didnt fall of anymore and I was relieved. After that, it was pretty straightforward. Now, some of you may say that I should have known to use a lot of force to lock it together but, sorry, I didnt know and I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same thing. PERFORMANCE 5/5. Coming from a 1366x768 resolution monitor, all I can say is that I am BLOWN AWAY!. Everything looks so beautiful and crisp and sharp. It is amazing. I am using a DVI-D (Dual link) from Amazon Basics connected to a R9 380 Nitro and it works perfectly. I play a lot of Rocket League and I cant believe how good the game looks now, it is surreal. Overall, the monitor looks and performs very well. For this reason, I think a 4 out of 5 stars is adequate. I will upload more pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them. Just ask.

I am not a monitor know-it-all but I did do research before purchasing a fairly cheap 1080p IPS monitor for my newly built computer designed primarily for gaming. This monitor has worked perfectly since taking it out of the box and as I write this review almost two months later. Pros: -very cheap for this type of monitor -was very easy to set up (worried that the single thin mount would force the screen to wobble but it does not at all) -beautiful 1080p crisp images and colors -great for anything below super competitive gaming as it requires a better response time but not an issue for me -Minimal bezel makes this monitor look gorgeous when on -Light weight and easy to move around without lifting up and without fear of scratching my desk due to well designed bottom -Didnt need to adjust settings for better image quality. I tried but the stock settings seemed the best -No backlight problems on my monitor that I read was an issue with other monitors. Dark screens are crisp Cons: -Viewing angles range up and down is not that much but there have been times I wanted it to be higher if I sat higher in my chair This monitor is highly recommended by me since I use it for several hours every day for movies as well as gaming. My favorite quality has to be the minimal bezel and LED screen that makes it seem like a high quality image is sitting directly in front of you without looking at an ugly monitor. I recommend this product highly for its extremely low price for its quality.

I bought one a couple of years ago and then bought a second one last year. Both still work well. I’ve never had any issues or screen bugs. I use it for work, gaming, editing, etc. Really good multi use monitor.

Gorgeous picture and great product. Exactly as described. Can’t be mounted on an arm though without a special adapter that is pretty much impossible to find. Even for models one number off, the adapters won’t work. Might be able to Jerry-rig something from the current stand but haven’t gotten that far yet. Not sure it’s worth it. Better to just search for a VESA compatible monitor and cut my losses.

At first the monitor was great. I loved the big screen, it seemed to be of good quality. I got it all hooked up on 1-3-16 and by 7-29-16 I had 2 red lines running through the monitor. I contacted Acer and they said Id have to ship it off to repair. Ugh, okay, not enthused about that, but at least its under warranty. Oh, by the way, YOU have to pay the shipping to get it reapired. Kay, so I believe in being peaceful, and behaving like any Christian should, with patience and understanding. Ive NEVER, NEVER been nasty to people in customer service even when I want to be. Well. . .I lost it with Acer and I turned into the wicked witch of the west over their you-have-to-pay-your-own-shipping-policy. Excuse me, if something goes wrong while its under warranty its YOUR responsibility to fix it. YOU ARE going to give me a shipping label. I shouldnt have to pay for a manufacturers problem. I won. They agreed to give me a shipping label, but when I went to print the shipping label off about 30 hours later, (I was busy the previous day, didnt have time to check my e-mail) the shipping label and tracking number was canceled. They canceled the label! So, moodier and nastier than before, I contacted them about that and let them have it. So they issued ANOTHER shipping label. I printed it. Had to go out and buy bubble wrap for my product (Which cost $17.00) and FINALLY I dropped it off at a Fed-Ex location. They received it, gave me e-mail updates on how it was going. They sent me an e-mail saying Your computer has been repaired and has been prepared for shipment. You will receive another eMail containing the shipping tracking number. Great, its been repaired! But, shouldnt they have written monitor not computer? Oh, well, whatever, its repaired. Yippee! I received it 5 days later with a letter stating, We are returning your product to you non-repaired because it was deemed a potential health issue. There is evidence that the product that was sent in for service has been damaged by a substance that may pose a health risk to our repair technicians and as such cannot be repaired by the manufacturer. Oh, but, If you are interested in purchasing a replacement unit, please contact such-and-such-email and a representative will contact you with pricing information. You effin bas***** I called them up immediately and YELLED at poor little Spanish Mary. What the heck do you deem a potential health issue? Dust? Cat hair? Windex? I didnt drop the dang thing in a nuclear pool! I told her I cant keep shipping this back and forth, its uneconomical for both of us and you better as he!! repair it. So she opened a new case and said she would e-mail me a shipping label and I could send it back off for repair. Well, guess what? That shipping label never showed up. If youre looking for a monitor, honestly, I would recommend going with an HP. Ive had to call HP up twice in the past month and their customer service has been far more outstanding than Acer. My printer had a print-head error, so they sent me a refurbished printer, gave me the instructions on putting the old printer in the same box my new one came in. Gave me a shipping label. They made it so easy and supplied everything. And then to make a long story short they gave me a free set of black and color ink due to some catridge problems I was having. Id trust HP to repair my monitor if something went wrong; Acer does nothing. Its a good thing I fought for the shipping label because I would have been out more than $17.00. I cannot tell you to not buy this monitor, but if you decide youre going to because its affordable and it has more good reviews than bad, keep in mind that with any purchase youre taking a gamble, especially with Acer products. If ANYTHING goes wrong, chances are remote that you will actually get the problem resolved. If they dont give you a shipping label the way they gave me one, and then if they ship it back to you non-repaired, youve just thrown $40-$50 away, if not more because there is absolutely no guarantee theyll fix your product when they receive it. Youll be better off buying a new monitor. For me, the stress isnt worth it. I gave up, which Im sure is what they want me to do. Im sad my nice, new monitor is going to be put away in storage and only used now for emergencies, (the red lines running through the monitor isnt the end of the world, but it is slightly irritating). While the monitor was off to repair my brother was kind enough to give me one of his old Dell monitors. Its pretty old, and you know what? It works great. I really like this monitor. The product when it worked was really nice, it was. I would have given it five stars. And I understand that everything comes from crap-a$$ China now. I know youre inevitably going to get bad stuff so I can deal with faulty hardware. Had I gotten the monitor back repaired it would have received a 3 or 4 star rating, but it was the customer service--or lack there of!--that really, really gets the 1 star because 0 isnt an option. Theres 0--Zero customer service. So like I said, if you buy it, keep in mind that if anything goes wrong Acer will not be there to help you. Youre on your own with this one.

I cannot give a complete review because the box did not have HDMI cables for the application I purchased it for. I did read other reviews before buying. Some reviews said they got HDMI cables in the box, others said they did not. I can confirm-YOU DO NOT GET HDMI CABLES WITH THIS MONITOR-BUY HDMI CABLES IF YOU NEED THEM. There, debate settled. I will add to my review as I learn more. At this point based on how it was packaged, I’ll give it 4 stars tentatively….. more to follow.

I bought two of these monitors a few weeks ago and theyve been pretty great so far (aside from one issue which is described below). The best part in my opinion is the the thin bezel which is accurately depicted in the pictures above. In case anyone was wondering, the bezel (including the part of the screen that doesnt display any picture) is about 1/4 (7/32 to be precise). I was worried about the base not being stable when I bought the monitors, but the monitors are actually surprisingly stable. The main reason Im writing this review is to warn people about the backlight bleeding that is present on both of the monitors I received. The pattern of the backlight bleeding is exactly the same on both of the monitors, which leads me to believe that I didnt just get unlucky. Under normal circumstances, the image quality is great. However, if theres a dark image on the screen and Im in a dark room (when watching a movie for example), the backlight bleeding is very apparent on the two upper corners of the screens. This isnt a huge issue for me since I usually have a light on in the room, but Im sure it might bother some people. This seems like a pretty common issue on budget IPS monitors, so I wouldnt rule this monitor out unless you find a monitor that you know for sure doesnt have this same issue.
