This computer worked great out of the box. Fast boot. Amazing battery life. Unfortunately after 2 months the track pad has gone out.

My son has had this for almost an entire school year and no problems what so ever! Awesome!

Works very good (though i doubled the memory).

For the money, I dont think you can find a better computer. My needs are basic--mostly net surfing and writing, with some video streaming thrown in. The computer is plenty fast enough for those needs. I dont know how good it would be for gaming or more complex applications--I suspect not very, but at the price, what do you want? So far it has proven quite durable--Im not easy on computers, and this one can take it.

I love the laptop. I use it for work (Office suite, google functions etc.) and it functions very well. Back-lit keyboard is a nice feature, and the battery life is very solid. I added a 6 GB ram chip, purchased off Amazon for about $50, and use an external SSD for bigger files. I would definitely recommend.

I was looking for a Windows laptop that I could use for work and photo editing that wouldnt cost an arm and a leg. Not too much to ask for, right? The Acer Aspire 5 fit the bill.
