This thing died and wont charge after ONE MONTH of very light use. I maybe used it 5 times. The stupid thing is the battery cost $50....the Chromebook is only $80 right now. So absolutely frustrating. Piece of junk.

I was surprised by how solid the construction seems. But of course you have to take into account the fact that this was originally a $300 mid-price model. Chrome was super easy to setup and even transferred my apps from my phone. I installed a micro SD card and that adds plenty of extra on board storage. Just be sure to format the card after installation. Then you have to power down and back up for the computer to recognize the card. I connected a bluetooth mouse and that works great. Even the scroll bar on the mouse works. Im not someone who needed another computer but Im happy I bought this one. The screen is bright and detailed. Colors look good. It is rated to be able to be dropped 4 feet but dont try it just to see. Just know that it is rugged. The cover has a nice ribbed texture and the bottom has two raised rubberized risers with the rear one being a little larger. Overall you cant go wrong here. Just know the limitations of a Chromebook which are few and you are good to go.

Chromebooks are a great deal for the internet and YouTube.

This was purchased during the Amazon early access sale. Its a great basic, no frills Chromebook for the price. My daughter just needed something to apply for jobs and surf the net on. Google apps work great, and so far no issues at all.

This is a great simple chromebook. It does everything I need. I mostly just browse the internet and use Google docs/email.

Bought for my three year old because I wanted to get her used to using a computer with a keyboard and mouse versus a touchscreen tablet. Also let’s me continue a nice tradition, my parents got me a computer when I was five or so—back when they cost way more money to buy!

Just recd this computer and have used it now for 2 days. So far, I like the taller screen as it gives you much more usable space for webpages and such. On a regular screen size those annoying banners take up a good part of the page, so this computer allows for better viewing. The battery life is far superior to a Samsung Chromebook of which this computer replaced. I also notice right off that this Acer has much more volume than the Samsung. I like the matte black too as I hate shiny/glossy computers as it shows every little handprint. Overall for the price this is a dandy computer. Oh yeah...also its faster than the Samsung and has the same advertised memory. I may buy another and just keep it in the box for a backup.
