The technical name is deadlock. This is a unix based system which is supposed to be immune from these types of problems. However this particular machine loves to go into deadlock. Its difficult to get out of because there is no task manager like Windows. You have to turn it off by holding the on/off button. The last time this happened, when trying to get back into Google (necessary since Google is embedded in this device and there is no run-around). Google asked me for my present password and MY OLD PASSWORD!!!!!

This Acer Chromebook 512 Laptop | Intel Celeron N4020 | 12 HD+ Display | Intel UHD Graphics 600 has completely blown me away with how capable a low-priced Chrome OS laptop can be.

This Chromebook was a gift for my daughter who loves it. Seems to be fast and looks good. Battery life is ok but could be improved. Probably at a higher cost to consumer so this isnt much of a complaint. Shes 13 and not a gamer so Im not sure if its capable of running anything too demanding. So far so good though!

I have a desk top and a larger Chromebook. This smaller one goes with me everywhere. It is so lightweight that I can put it in a tote bag and have it on hand when I need it. Its easy to use and when watching videos, the picture is fantastic. (My cat loves watching bird videos on it, too.) I bought this on a whim because of the low price, but would buy it again because it is such a good product.

This Chromebook met my needs in every way that I was looking for as far as being lightweight, thin, and small. I wanted something that was able to easily slip into my backpack but be pull out of the backpack really quickly when I wanted to watch movies or shows. I can put this in my backpack and barely know that its in there.Im happy to say that this works great for airline travel. It doesnt take up hardly any room in my lap on the small airplane seats, and the screen is actually about the same size as the screens on the airline that Ive been using. I can easily connect this Chromebook to my headphones, and the flight goes by really quickly when using it. One thing that doesnt go by quickly though is the battery life on this chromebook. I took two flights and used the Chromebook quite a bit, and I noticed that I still had lots of battery life left on it when thinking about how small this Chromebook is. The battery life increases or decreases in the bottom right hand corner of the screen depending on how high the brightness is, so I recommend changing that and youll see your battery life meter fluctuate. For watching movies, I felt like the screen quality was mid grade. It didnt look like it was a high definition screen, but it didnt feel like it was low grade either. As far as the keyboard, I have pretty big hands, and I feel like its somewhat easy to type on this keyboard. I wouldnt want to type on this small of a keyboard all day long, but for a few hours here and there it meets my needs. This Chromebook does not come with a case, but it does come with a charger which is a USB type-c. Keep in mind this isnt just a standard USB type-c like you would use for a cell phone, it is a USB type-c charger that is attached to a transformer.
