best chromebook for the money.

I purchased this device for my son, for college. It’s perfect for his needs. He writes papers, does research, even has several windows open at a time, with no slow down in performance.

I was surprised by how solid the construction seems. But of course you have to take into account the fact that this was originally a $300 mid-price model. Chrome was super easy to setup and even transferred my apps from my phone. I installed a micro SD card and that adds plenty of extra on board storage. Just be sure to format the card after installation. Then you have to power down and back up for the computer to recognize the card. I connected a bluetooth mouse and that works great. Even the scroll bar on the mouse works. Im not someone who needed another computer but Im happy I bought this one. The screen is bright and detailed. Colors look good. It is rated to be able to be dropped 4 feet but dont try it just to see. Just know that it is rugged. The cover has a nice ribbed texture and the bottom has two raised rubberized risers with the rear one being a little larger. Overall you cant go wrong here. Just know the limitations of a Chromebook which are few and you are good to go.

This is my 3rd Acer Chromebook. Truly, you cant beat it for the price. Im NOT technically inclined ~ the simpler the better. i use it for personal correspondence but it offers so much more. Its super simple to set up. The only difficulty Ive had is transferring my downloaded photos from my other computer. Simply because I dont know how. That will require help from my kids.

Chromebooks are a great deal for the internet and YouTube.

For the price this is a good solid unit for any student who lives in the google sphere for school, or for the grandparents email and other online needs. Its a Chromebook so it performs like one, but this one is especially snappier than most and the durability is MIL std, so you can be assured it will take one heck of a beating. So far, Ive dropped it twice with no problems lol.
