> 3 dayDefinitely a great upgrade from the dinosaur Ive kept alive for over 8 years. Ill admit I worry at times if the screen top half will snap at the base like the last one did or if the screen will fitz out from picking it up sometimes (its managed to shut itself down & restart just carrying it on my forearm to the kitchen while I voice-chatted with friends a couple of times), but I definitely recommend this laptop for its reliable speed & space compared to older models.

> 3 dayTL; DR: The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55-53E5 Gaming Laptop is an entry-level gaming-capable computer. Its out-of-the-box specs are underwhelming, but some can be upgraded, like RAM and hard drive space. The RTX 3050 is the cheapest house in the fancy neighborhood. It’s a solid starter GPU for current games, but temper your frame rate and detail expectations. The Comet Lake i5 CPU is capable, but can run hot. Get used to the fans. Don’t pay more than MSRP, given you’ll need to fork out some extra money on ram and another SSD to meet basic storage needs.

> 3 dayJust like many I had issues with the charging cord….but I kept reading reviews and found someone who said to push until it snaps into the laptop….and it worked! I’ve never had a laptop that plugged in that hard but it is perfect for my gaming son! He loves it.

> 3 dayThe lap top is working as expected, with 800 USD you were able to get a 3050 GPU, which is good for most light duty game like CS go, DOTA2, etc. Which is good enough for me. Unlike those ultra book, this one has slot RAM and can be upgrade to like 32GB and another stat HDD slot, but they dont include cable and socket. I believe youd have to do some research how to solid one. It looks like a good deal for light gamer.

Greater than one weekI just opened the box and wanted to set it up but guess what! Doesnt turn on, doesnt charge, doesnt do anything. I tried numerous outlets thinking that was the problem but nope. Just a very expensive brick. Terrible quality control.
