Dont believe a word these other reviews are saying. I dunno what sorcery they pulled to wring a good experience out of this thing, but Ive been stuck with it for four years and Ive never hated a machine more. After only a few months, the laptop generally slowed down a ton and I started getting random frame drops in games I previously had no trouble running (such as Team Fortress 2, a game from 2007). Things only continued to get worse to the point that now a few tabs of Chrome are enough to bring this absolute clunker to its knees. It also loves to lock up for no apparent reason and it can sometimes last for minutes on end, which is lovely for a $600 gaming laptop. The hardware itself isnt very good, either; my CPU fan randomly started making these repulsive grinding noises a few months ago, which makes using it out in public basically impossible (though the sub-hour battery life didnt help to begin with). Im amazed this thing hasnt exploded yet, quite frankly.

as much as I like this laptop at one point I started getting bluescreens telling me something was wrong with it. I resolved the issue but it caused many problems during my homework.

The keyboard seems to be degrading really quick, is it possible to get a replacement part? Its starting to make a squeaking noise and the W key really needs to be hard pressed to work sometimes.

Until I purchased this laptop, I was using a laptop that I had gotten in 2012. I was just at a point where I needed a new laptop. This laptop has definitely met a need.

Love this laptop. Battery life is amazing for video games on the go, the display is bright, graphics are good. I got the gtx 1650 but recommend the cheapest RTX model now that its out (3050 i think)

My 12 year old is very satisfied with it. Uses it everyday to play games with friends and to do schoolwork. A little higher priced than I wanted to pay!

Computer was working fine until a week ago. It’s been two months and the keyboard has completely stopped working, I’ve reached out to acer twice about getting it fixed and have yet to send me any info on how to do so. It’s been two weeks not being able to use my computer. I had an Alienware gaming laptop for 10 years and never single issue, had an acer for two months and hardware is failing.

I’ve had this laptop for less than 5 months and I barely got any use out of it before it stopped working all together and refused to boot up. I now have to pay $200 to have the hard drive replaced and until I can afford that, this $700 laptop is useless. Be careful buying pre owned and be sure to get a protection plan if you do, I wish I would have.
