> 3 dayI bought this to replace an 1080p 75hz monitor. The higher resolution and frame rate is awesome. I can really tell a difference. Its also nice using the monitor for work. The higher resolution allows for more information on my screen making me more productive.

Greater than one weekI have been using it for 2 weeks and one pixel got stuck near the middle of the screen. That pixel is always purple, never changes its color and its very annoying. I hope the other pixels dont get stuck in the nearby future...

> 3 dayI bought this monitor with my new gaming set up since it was pretty highly rated on amazon for its price. I got everything set up and it looked fine. It worked well for about a month or two before I started getting TV static. This was something I have never seen before in my life. I thought at first it was something with my HDMI cable, so I tried a different one. The problem subsided for a while and then again, I started getting TV static. Then I thought it was my GPU, I recently purchased a 2060 so I assumed that it was simply defective, I returned the GPU and got an identical one. Again, the problem subsided for a while before kicking up again. There were days where it didnt happen at all, and days where it happened almost any time the computer would go into hibernation/sleep. There was a point where even lightly moving my desk caused the static to come on. The only way to get the static off was to unplug the HDMI cable from the GPU, and plug it back in. I ended up calling amazon and attempted to return the monitor. They offered to get Acer to repair it for me, which I accepted. They got an Acer representative on the line, where he asked me about my problem. He told me that there was clearly something wrong with the monitor and then asked me for my address, He confirmed 3 times (the other two times he some how managed to get it wrong). I wait 3 days for them to send me the shipping label, and of course, the return address was wrong. I call Acer again and ask to speak to a manager, assuming that I would get further with someone who would be capable of understanding English. I wait 20-30 minutes for this damn manager to get on the line only for him to hang up on me after asking for my case number. I had to wait another day to get a call back. Finally, I was connected with someone competent at Acer, who managed to get the right address this time. I finally sent the package out and waited for a response. Fast-forward to today, the package arrived with a slip of paper. according to their diagnosis, they couldnt find anything wrong with the monitor after a stress test of over 96 hours, they also apparently tested all inputs and display boards with no flickering or static. To add insult to injury they failed to send back the stand with the monitor, so now I need to wait another 7 days to be able to see myself if there still is an issue with this monitor. The amount of stress I had to deal with; the returns, the troubleshooting, the calls with customer support and the waiting just to be told that there is nothing wrong with my monitor is just beyond insane. Stay far away from this customer unless you want to have to deal with garbage support and a company that could give less of a damn about you.

> 3 dayThis monitor is a bang for your buck. My ‘gaming’ laptop only came with an hdmi port so I couldn’t reach 144hz on typical gaming monitors. This setup comes with an hdmi 2.0 cable capable of running 165hz. When I finally plugged things in I was excited to see that the monitor was fully capable of switching from 60hz to 144 or 165hz. As a heads up, this monitor will need some tweaking and color correction using its setup options. I’ve been able to create a good middle ground of performance and quality with a little bit of tweaking the settings. Overall for the price this monitor is amazing, it comes with both hdmi and display port options, but the package only comes with the hdmi 2.0 cord.

> 3 dayNot entirely sure what all the people with 4/5 stars are looking at but I bought this monitor and it is literally unusable. It says 165hz but at 165hz the ghosting is so bad that watching/playing anything I might as well be blind. Lowering to 60hz helps sure but 1. I bought this for high refresh rate and 2. it’s still bad ghosting. I received a replacement with the exact same issue. And yes I tried just about every single thing I could do and nothings fixes it. Now it’s entirely possible that I received 2 defective monitors but that seems unlikely as well if that’s the case then Acers QC is not worth spending money on. Highly recommend staying away. Find another cheap monitor but with a IPS Panel instead.

> 3 dayPicture quality is good and vibrant (with some exceptions). HOWEVER, there are only 2 hdmi ports and 1 display port meaning if you want to hear ANYTHING, you must use headphones. I had to connect headphones to my ps4 and nintendo switch. Im sure theres some sort of audio to hdmi adapter out there but its a real bummer that this monitor does not have built in speakers or even the options to plug in speakers directly Another thing. Although the ps4 display was really good, displaying games from the nintendo switch looked a little off. It was as if someone turned the sharpness really high for a photo. Eventually I found an option to turn off that extreme sharpness but then it looked a bit blurry. Fortunately this problem does not occur when Im using the ps4 with the monitor. Yes it has HDR Also brightness of 50 out of 100 is super bright. I recommend a brightness of 35 which was what I was using in the review photos

Greater than one weekI have known of Acer products as good quality since the days of CRT screens and 486 processors. I purchased this screen KG271U (random bunch of letters) mostly because it matches my older KG271 (no extra letters). I like the durability and the build quality of the KG line. As far as gaming, having the higher resolution at a high refresh rate actually increased my frame rates by a considerable amount, using 1440p resolution at the advertised 144Hz. My previous screen was throttling my frame rates running games at 1080p 75Hz. It does make gaming a lot more enjoyable. No unexpected headaches or meaningful complaints to make.

> 3 dayFirst things first this is a very nice little 144hz monitor. Yes, this is a 144hz monitor. People in the reviews seem to be oblivious to the fact that you need a DP cable to reach 144hz. A HDMI will only get you to 60hz. On top of this, PS4 and Xbox One only play at 60hz. If youre buying this for console gaming, dont bother. The amount of questions/reviews I saw asking about these issues was absurd, so hopefully I helped clear that up for anyone confused. Now to get into the pros/cons... Pros: - The price. I bought this for $169 ($192 after tax), which seems like a fair price. - The speakers are actually surprisingly good. I mainly use a headset, but its nice knowing that the speakers arent absolute garbage like other monitors - PC gaming looks great. 144hz is a game changer, and the screen quality and resolution is exactly what youd expect. Cons: - The bezels. After using the Scepter 165hz monitor I was shocked to see just how large the bezels are on the Acer monitor. To give an understandable comparison, if the Scepter monitor is the iPhone X, the Acer KG241Q is an iPhone 5. - The monitor stand. Holy cow this thing sucks. For one its super bulky and cumbersome. Secondly it is completely static. You cant move it side to side or adjust the height. Adding on, you can BARELY adjust the angle of the screen. The screen either stands up completely straight, or you can rotate it maybe 15 degrees tops. Super frustrating. - Overall the monitor feels very cheap. From the stand, to the input buttons, it feels like a top of the line monitor from 5 years ago. Overall this is a good monitor. Its 144hz and it works, so in that regard buy with confidence. That being said, my Sceptre E255B-1658A is so much better in so many ways and it is the exact same price as this monitor. My brother also has the Acer XFA240 ($199), and if you have an extra $20 to spend, I recommend that option instead.
