I’m not as tech savvy as some of the reviewers but this appears to be an ok monitor for the price wasn’t too hard to set up and the picture quality seems nice to me.

I loved how it has a simple build process. It has pretty good picture and response time. The monitor advertisement all over the internet isn’t sure if it’s 50-70 hz or 144 hz. Truth is on PC and overclocked it will be 144hz on a console 50-70 hz. It’s still a good monitor for the price.

The HDR is pretty cool. Color is a little bit off but thats not my main reason for the low rating. No matter what I do, I notice a lot of ghosting. Wouldnt recommend because this can get in the way of lots of movement based games.

Onboard Monitor Menu: Yes it is accessible by a joystick, plus you have 3 buttons to help you select different categories or customizable modes. Frame and Edges: 0.5 inches from the edge we start to see the screen. This means that 1 inch would separate two of these monitors side-by-side. This is fairly decent for a dual setup, I would personally invest in a 2k/4k monitor setup to bundle with this monitor. Viewing Angles: This monitor truly has very sharp and stunning viewing angles, furthermore it is perfect for doing editing on a budget. Brightness or Luminance: Extremely bright in fact, it is crazy bright. I have mine running on 0% brightness with night mode enable and it is still bright. I would have to tweak the settings outside of the brightness to dim the light on this monitor. This is an LCD LED backlight panel. Response Rate: HDMI 2.0 and a display cable out of the box that supports up to 165hz. I have not experienced any form of ghosting, I do not have a GPU so I am currently running a Ryzen 2200g APU. I have played Apex Legends, COD War Zone, and League of Legends. I am unable to test other games as I am without the RTX 3080 at this time. Adjustability: The monitor is able to tilt up or down. You would need a mounting stand to support the landscape view. This desktop mount is very sturdy. Display: Full 1080p FHD LCD LED Backlight Screen. This monitor arrived in a thick Styrofoam package. 100% free of dead pixels, I could not believe it myself 0 dead pixels. I have friends who bought pricey monitors that came with dead pixels. Surprisingly I have none of those issues. I did however noticed minor IPS glow. I would say very small amounts as it is almost not noticeable until the screen is pitch black and you have to stare in the left corner to see it. Comfortable on the eyes and suitable for gaming for extended periods. Monitor Size: 27-inch monitors range between 24-25 wide and 14-18 tall depending on how they measure the height. This monitor checks out as a 27-inch monitor based on my measurement check. Monitor Appearance (Build Quality): Black color finish with red accents at the stand, barely noticeable. Blue lit indicator when the monitor is on and dark orange when the monitor is off. I feel that ACER could have included some red glow backlight on the back, or a fancy imprint on the plastic to make it fancy. Speakers: Very good if you want to watch YouTube or listen to calm music while working/studying. I would not recommend them for your daily driver but they are nice to have. They are not so loud about 93 Decibels between the two of them. Contrast Ratio: Dark blacks satisfactory but could have been better. It is an IPS monitor which helps to deliver quality images. I have not yet adjusted the contrast because I am happy with the way it is. Bezels: Extremely narrow and handly noticeable unless you use some stretchy wallpaper. Stuck pixels nope 0%. 8 Months of Use Update: (Still I am unable to buy a 6900xt or an RTX 3080 at this point, I am thinking of getting a PS5 for this monitor until then) HDMI cable is rather unstable after 8 months, as a true chad I found out that watching some videos from some sites affected the image delivered to the display. It would need me to plug it out an in again, strangely this was not the monitor going bad it was just that the HDMI was not of that good aftermarket quality. Brightness - The nits on this thing is insane, very bright for some reason but I like it. I would give this Monitor a 9/10 for 1080p gaming.

I have known of Acer products as good quality since the days of CRT screens and 486 processors. I purchased this screen KG271U (random bunch of letters) mostly because it matches my older KG271 (no extra letters). I like the durability and the build quality of the KG line. As far as gaming, having the higher resolution at a high refresh rate actually increased my frame rates by a considerable amount, using 1440p resolution at the advertised 144Hz. My previous screen was throttling my frame rates running games at 1080p 75Hz. It does make gaming a lot more enjoyable. No unexpected headaches or meaningful complaints to make.

Ive been looking for a 27 165Hz Gaming Monitor for a while and oh boy, I think this is the one! I have been using this Monitor for well over 2 months on heavy use, so heres my current review. The KG272 is an Amazing Monitor, the picture quality is fantastic, and the brightness is great, although keep in mind it took me around 1 hour to adjust all of the brightness settings because when the monitor comes right out of the box, its really... REALLY dim. The Speakers on the KG272 are well... not amazing but not exactly terrible, but thats expected as most monitors, including this one is not going to have good speakers, I advise just using headphones and plugging it into the monitor itself. Wait, did I forget to mention that part? Yeah, one of the really odd designs of this about this monitor is that to receive any audio you MUST plug your headphones into the monitor, if you dont plug your headphones, headset, earphones, etc, into the monitor, well youre out of luck, say goodbye to audio! Ive noticed that there is little to no ghosting either or any backlight bleed, which is a HUGE problem with a lot of Gaming monitors, so Im super glad Acer has this under control for the KG272. Alright now lets talk about the stand, the stand is actually REALLY solid for what it is, with hard plastic and a metal base to hold the monitor, it stays in its place really solidly and doesnt wiggle/shake at all, although it depends on what youre doing of course. Oh, also here is a few tips/troubleshooting for anyone thats confused on why their monitor will not run at the advertised 165Hz! - Make sure your cable support 165Hz, if it doesnt, buy one. - Make sure your cable is plugged into your Graphics Card display port, this is a common issue among a lot of people where they just plug it into the motherboard. - Make sure you set your 165Hz settings in Windows, to get to this go to Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display and select the highest refresh rate you can. Hope that helps if anyone is confused on why it isnt working properly! Overall, I think this Monitor is really solid and well worth the price after 2 months of use and I will keep everyone updated if anything happens in the next months (5/25/22).

(24 1080p 144Hz) The specific panel I received had three dead pixels which did not recover, but I dont care enough to return the monitor. For the price I paid, this has been a fantastic gaming monitor for high-FPS titles. However, the color accuracy and contrast are not the best, so this will not meet expectations for color-accurate photo or video production. As a gaming monitor, it is amazing value for money.

I like everything about this monitor except it has no speakers or 3.5 mm jack. Also, there isnt any height or left to right adjustment, but that doesnt bother me. Do what you must with this info.

We bought this for our 16 yo son for gaming this Christmas. Hes hugged us and said thank you about a dozen times! We have a new Netgear mesh wifi system and have speeds in the neighborhood of 950Mbps download and this monitor has an amazing refresh rate to keep up with it. We can barely get him off his Xbox. Great product and we definitely recommend.

Looks really nice. Black exterior looks good with the red stand. The screen itself is a good size had no issues. Bought a second one, since it works as intended.
