This is my first gaming laptop and it did not disappoint me. Great for gaming. I was looking for a gaming laptop and there was different price for different built. When I found this one, I knew it was the one.

I like to game The Sims, Civilization, and quite a few Steam treasures like Railroad Tycoon, Two Point Hospital, Megaquarium, Caesar III, Zeus and more. I did a lot of research, and am SO HAPPY with my purchase. My games run quick and at high quality, and load/save super quick. Minimal downtime waiting for loading.

Overall, this started out as an amazing product, however, within the first month of getting this laptop, it gave me nothing but issues. Keys stuck causing issues with gaming, had troubles connecting to any wifi source without immense amounts of time and effort, and just recently, it had a windows update. The computer is too stupid to realize after so many repair diagnostics and troubleshooting that it was a windows problem. It is not letting me Uninstall the last update, therefore I am having to reset the entire computer. MONTHS of work on this computer. Including school documents, gaming work for my stream and SO much more, I have to delete every single file. I didnt think a laptop over 1000$ would cause me enough problems to have to back everything up, but here we are. I, as a tech nerd, know not to get onto any malicious websites on my laptop. I know what sites are sketchy. And all that stupid stuff. This laptop is terrible. I dont recommend getting it at all. And if you already have, I am terribly sorry.

To summarize this PC its great for gaming and overall you will be happy with this purchase. I would suggest wait until new 30 series from NVidia mobile gpus. This isnt a bad thing I only suggest for those looking into gaming with high fps from the new AAA games. If you play older games like CS:GO and WoW or something else you will be very happy with this PC. I originally bought this PC from a youtube review and value proposition. Keep in mind PCs can be upgraded but, only certain aspects and limited. Soon next gen consoles will be released and will change the price of SSDs and will change the price of upgrades. This comes with 512 and with 5 games installed you will run out fast. That being said regarding SSD prices and new GPUs I would wait until unless you really want and can not go wrong. This is a great PC no issues wait until black friday for a good deal. Hope this helps!

Firstly - buy laptops from Amazon at your own risk! This laptop failed to power on within the first week of receiving it. We contacted Acer Predator support and were informed we would need to ship it to them for repairs. We contacted Amazon to see if we could just get a replacement and we were informed that it was out of stock and that a replacement was not an option. So, we sent the laptop in to Acer tech support where it has been since July 27th. There has been no correspondence from Acer Support regarding the repair or replacement. We wound up contacting them ourselves to get a status and were informed that a replacement part was backordered. None of this acceptable - either from Acer or from Amazon. I am absolutely disgusted and embarrassed for both companies at this point. I dont feel like any of this is acceptable. Very dissatisfied customer.

Meets all expectations! Very good graphics. Stays cool and has been a great computer for my 16 year old for school and games.

Plays Wow ok.

I literally received my laptop this morning and spent the afternoon getting it setup and updated. Would have preferred less bloatware, but it wasnt too difficult to remove what I didnt want to keep. The PredatorSense software is pretty neat. Ive never had the ability to monitor my CPU and GPU in this fashion. Its also very helpful for monitoring the internal temperatures. Speaking of the temperatures, the fans pretty loud when gaming. Thats not too surprising given its a gaming laptop, but it would be really nice if someone could develop quieter fans that still keep the CPU and GPU cool. I would also say its worth investing in something to elevate the back of the laptop to increase airflow if you plan to sit it on a desk. The rubber pads on the bottom dont lift it hardly at all to allow more air to flow to the bottom of the laptop where vents are sitting. Im not the biggest fan of the keyboard feel, but I attribute that to working off of a mechanical keyboard for the last 7 months that I absolutely love. I do appreciate that they fit a number pad into a 15.4 laptop. The quick access buttons for Turbo mode and the PredatorSense application are a nice touch. Theres honestly nothing wrong with the keyboard, but I just dont prefer that type of keyboard at this point. The display is also something that cannot be overlooked. Its impressive for a laptop that only cost $1200.00. Its a massive upgrade for me (havent purchased a PC/Laptop or Monitor since 2011) and was certainly eye opening to see the difference a modern display makes in your gaming/streaming experience. This is only through the first day, but I think this laptop is an excellent value for those looking for a quality gaming laptop that doesnt break the bank.

This is the brand new 2020 model I received this week. Everything is top-notch thus far. I had to do some minor tweaking (setting CPU Max Power to 99% in the power plan options) to keep the temps down, and the machine runs everything great. I know the extra power is there for when I need it, but for now it hangs with ALL games great while CPUs Turbo is disabled by me in the above fashion. I am investing into a cooling pad too - dont take this the wrong way - the machine runs adequate cooling without, but I want it to really be comfortable. I uninstalled Norton junkware right away - it comes pre-installed. This is the best value out there right now. Id highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for a gaming laptop. Keep in mind, dont expect great battery life etc - it IS a gaming laptop and works accordingly.

The laptop is cheap and good, but consider adding a few more dollars and buying much better one.
