Just look up the fan issues this computer has and go buy something else. Have had nonstop fan issues

Nice but battery dies fast weather or not used for games and also the fan is so loud specially if you use it to play video games ugh super loud you have to wear noise canceling headphones to be able to hear other players. It’s also heavy. Not worth the prize

Just purchased the Helio 300 gaming laptop for my teenage sister to game with me. Overall build is very solid and surprisingly light and slim! The cooling is topnotch and the laptop never gets warm even after hours of CoD in maxed out settings. FPS holds steady at 70-80, with turbo mode one the FPS rarely dips below 80.

I have had this laptop for almost 2 months and have played 150+ hours of online games on the highest quality and it all runs amazing! A great gaming laptop for the price!

Wow, this unit was surprisingly sleek. I initially purchased an Alienware 51m from Dell a week ago because of a slickdeal that dropped the $3k msrp don to $1.5k. To my surprise, DELL was unable to deliver and cancelled my order after confirming a 3 week ship date. I was quite disappointed with Dell for getting my hopes up but I suppose the cancellation was a blessing in disguise. Although the 51m would have been a beast of a laptop, I was planning to use it as a stationary unit because the total unit weighed 14+ pounds, which wouldve given me my daily workout had I used it as my travel unit (gyms are closed so why not just lug around a squat rack of a laptop).

Battery not charging after used several months. It is a common issue in Acer laptop. I replace battery and adapter, can’t fix it.

Awesome productivity and gaming laptop! Runs Overwatch on Epic settings at 60+ fps, Project Cars 2 on highest settings at 90+. Screen speed and colors look great as well.

In normal use, baterry is abouth 1-2 hours

What you get for the cost is hard to beat with the Helios 300, but ultimately the heating of this laptop was just too extreme that I had to return it. The temperatures of the CPU were way too high at idle and awful under load. I was regularly seeing 60-70 degrees C without anything open, even after limiting the CPU turbo feature from the control panel. This resulted in a very loud computer, even when just web browsing. I’d like to give it the benefit of the doubt, and that the fans/thermal paste/etc on my unit were just installed poorly, but if that’s the case it reflects poorly on Acer’s quality control.
