Do not buy this computer. After less than a year it just up and completely shutdown. The battery power is trash, over-heating, the fan continuously runs in the background. I was told it’s unfixable. All the money spent for nothing. Just a warning ⚠️ good luck!

Es una computadora muy potente para hacer de todo. Estoy sorprendido y estoy feliz por cada dólar que pagué por ella. La recomiendo mucho.

When my four year old Toshiba died, I started looking for a replacement. I researched several laptops to find the right one for me, a mix of office style working and also great gaming. I ended up choosing this one and for me, it was a mistake. The laptop came, the setup was a piece of cake, it was powerful, great display, ran all the programs I used...and then it started acting up. A laptop is designed to move around with it, thats why it also runs on a battery. Apparently, the AC port on this one isnt made for that. After a couple days of unplugging it once a day for a couple hours, the laptop started to charge/discharge even though it was plugged in. It would beep incessantly, the screen would dim and brighten and unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it wouldnt stop. However, once I did the latter, it wouldnt last but a few minutes and would start again. After 35 days and a few tries at getting Acer to help me, they told me Id have to send it back and theyd have it at least four weeks or more. THIS IS A BRAND NEW LAPTOP!! Finally, Amazon was kind enough to send me a replacement which, after about 15 days, started the same thing. After a lot of research, I learned that the AC port is only tacked in place and if you remove the back and work on it, you can get the AC port to behave as it should. Um...no, not on a brand new laptop. I could expect that after a year or two, but not after 15 days. So, I am returning this yet again and have found another from a different manufacturer that Im hoping will work for me.

I spent weeks researching computers to game on, considering almost every computer within the $900 - $1400 price range. And I am pleased to say that after many hours of researching and comparing, I have chosen this laptop. Not only does it have some of the greatest specs for the incredible price, but it is also intuitive and easy to use. The predator sense button on the keyboard allows you to monitor the fan speed, the memory usage, and the heat of the CPU, GPU, and system. For more control, it makes it easy to overclock the CPU, adjust fan speeds, and change the lighting of the keyboard.

As my last laptop finally gave in, I was in need of a laptop first and foremost for school. However, I also wanted to be able to play games without breaking the bank. Being that I need this laptop for school first and foremost, I was worried about the bulkiness most gaming laptops seem to have. I was pleasantly surprised when I first opened this laptop at how lightweight and compact this machine is. The last laptop I owned was bulky and had numerous mechanical issues due to the build quality. None of those issues seem apparent with the build quality and design of this machine. Looking forward to using this computer daily.

I did not use the laptop for gaming, so I cannot comment on those aspects. I bought it for the graphics card that I needed for advanced 3D modeling. It worked great for some enormous Solidworks projects. When it was just 4 months old, the hard drive died. Acer tech support agreed that it needed to be sent in for hardware replacement. They told me that the entire repair and warranty system was down and only tech support was available and to call back in a couple of days. I overnighted the laptop to a trusted computer repair center and they diagnosed it as a bad hard drive, but they cant replace it without an image from Acer. Guess what else is down? Recovery image website is also down. I ordered a new Lenovo with a similar graphics card because this laptop has been down for a week now and I cant even submit a repair ticket, much less send it off for repair. I am down another $1500 just to keep my business going. One week later and they tell me again to call back in a couple of days. I will send this one in for repair and sell it. This is my last Acer purchase.
