The bottom cover for a ram upgrade gets a big huge boooo! Is not easy and you have to wrench on a brand new computer to get the cover off, and acer could not spring for a piece of plastic you use that would not affect the cosmetics of the case. Big huge boo!

Well package. So many boxes seals you have to cut & open. The wifi is connection is so fast I am getting 100% of bandwidth download from the other end of the house opposite of router (this device has wifi ax while my router is only AC). Booted up fast. Easy to use. Turbo mode fan is loud but what do you expect if you want more power and heat needs to come out from this laptop. Laptop lighter than expected. Power adapter is huge and heavy though 230w. Comes with medium amount of bloat ware that can be uninstall. You can update the bios from Acer website. There is backlight bleeding. Check your unit, if youre okay with it then keep it or if its really bad then exchange it. Overall impressive laptop to game for the price. This is the new 2020 Acer predator Helios 300.

The fan sometimes runs very fast even at a very low usage of cpu. I find same comments here IDK if its a general issue.

So far its been great. Packaging and presentation were on point and the keys and mouse are so smooth!

I love this new machine! A worthy upgrade from last years model. Cant wait to game more on it!

My first impression of this laptop are positive. You get a good return for your investment with the new processor and the dedicated video card. One of the things I was more concern about was the cooling, however Ive tested this the machine in Dota 2, and it is not really loud. I believe Acer did a great job with all the vents, so that helps a ton.

This machine has great specs for the money and a nice screen. I was strictly looking for specs to do work and some gaming on the side but this actually looks pretty cool with the light up keyboard and overall design. I keep this plugged in all of the time and cant speak for the mobility and battery life but I didnt buy a gaming pc with the idea of playing unplugged on my lap.

I got this hot rod to do 3D modeling and rendering, compositing, and VFX for my film work and to do high-end gaming for my flight simulators, and it is just a pleasure to work with. Lots of room for upgrade. I immediately added a 1TB M.2 SSD and it just screams speed. Next upgrade is for 32GB memory and an additional 2TB SSD. Love this machine.

Great value for money. The cooling system works really well. It works for gaming and engineering students 3D CAD software as well.
