This was a very exciting purchase and the fastest loading laptop Ive ever owned, until the Windows 11 upgrade. It would turn on and load almost without delay and the same with any game I ran on it from any of many online services and downloaded games. Once it upgraded itself to Windows 11, it crashed constantly trying to play any game, either online or downloaded games. After I tried a restore, I started getting the never ending reboot cycle and no matter what option I chose, when it would actually let me choose an option, it didnt help. My bad for not creating a restore on a USB drive as soon as I received it but its not a priority when youre setting your device up and have an NVMe drive , or so I thought. When I called the Predator Premium Service line that is supposedly 24/7 support, I got a voice mail box that was full. When I tried to call and order, and pay for, restore media, I got the same thing. I finally got through to a support agent who told me I would need to call their sales department to get the media, which I did and got the same message, you have reached a voice mail box that is full. Seemed like a great purchase until I unfortunately needed support which seems almost impossible to get from Acer, on a premium product that is supposed to have its own dedicated support group, which it does not.

This laptop performs phenomenally! Capable of running Elden Ring at 1440p High settings @60fps! That’s incredible and I love it. Currently using the laptop for on the go gaming and editing whilst also using it on downtime with my 4K 55” and it works perfect! This thing can run a surprising amount of games at 4K and 1440p perfectly fine. The system gives a lot of fan settings to really tune it up to how you want it to play. Extreme mode is the best for absolute gaming but it can get very loud, I recommend default of Quite if you plan to just watch YouTube or something. Build quality is strong and the keyboard is great! Beautiful system all around.

This Acer computer is very well built with great specs. I love the fast 512 GB SSD drive. It makes everything so much faster. There is room for a second hard disk if you need one. The screen is bright and sharp. But it is not a touch screen.

This Acer Predator laptop is more expensive than other Acer brand lower level gaming laptops, but its hardly upgradable. It has weird design in the bottom case with very sticky parts on the hinge and side. Even with proper toolkit, its difficult to open the entire bottom case for RAM and SSD expansion. Most importantly, the laptop comes with Windows 10 Home 20H2 version OS. After initial set up of the laptop, it requires to do mandatory updates to keep up with the current system. After a few seconds of wait, the laptop tries to restart and said Windows updates are running. Then the nightmare loop happens again and again. The restart process has repeated over 50 times, but the laptop has not finished Windows updates for more than 10 hours. Just returned the laptop with original box and accessories to Amazon within 24 hours receiving it. Do not bother to contact the manufacturer for technical support, since they will tell you to do the same. The only way to resolve the issue is to open the bottom case and take out the SSD to wipe out the defective Windows 10 Home OS 20H2 version (its not compatible with latest 11th gen intel processor), and then reinstall Windows 10 Home 21H1 or Windows 11 on the laptop. You cannot do that on your own, since the laptops bottom case is very difficult to open.

I do a lot of video editing and its relatively okay for that. But when it comes to just everyday work its not easy to use. The cursor jumps around so youll be typing in one place, but your cursor jumps somewhere else. So then youve got to figure out how much chaos you created in your document and try to fix it. Its very annoying.

I didnt like how it heated up with games that have been out for almost 6 years.

I upgraded the 3060 version with one TEAMGROUP T-FORCE CARDEA ZERO Z330 1TB, and a TEAMGROUP Elite DDR4 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) 3200MHz PC4-25600 CL22 kit, the SSD NVME was not immediatly recognized, but I only had to give it NTFS format due to unallocated memory data, no BIOS settings needed for it to detect it afterwards, I have not yet tested its performance, but the screen has at least 350 NITs, overall feels very solid.

This is my 2nd Acer product and Ive never been more happy. The speeds are amazing, quality is top notch. The laptop can get hot if you dont have proper venting but even with higher temps Ive never had issues. Solid laptop, plays any game or program I throw at it.
