This laptop was basically exactly what I was looking for. Before then, I never owned a true gaming PC. The only computer I owned before that wasn’t a hand-me-down was a 2016 Acer Aspire E15 with an Intel i5 and a NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card with 8GB of memory. Needless to say, for any serious type of gaming, it was not to last. Games like Sonic Generations had the fan screaming in agony and the game would freeze at random points and games like Street Fighter V at lowest settings ran at about half speed. The only other modern gaming system I have was the Nintendo Switch, and while I love that system, it’s not the best main drive to play the latest blockbuster releases from 3rd Parties. And so, I began looking for a new gaming PC. I tried looking for a desktop all summer but I could never afford or find the parts I wanted and the prebuilt options didn’t impress me. But in September of this year I found this little guy and it had everything looking for it. I saved it up and got it at a discount of $1,100 with some extras such as a new mouse, mousepad, and backpack.

This is a great laptop for a very good price, totally recommended, the only thing unexpected was the RAM sticks (nowhere says it has 2x8GB) so I assumed it had 1x16GB and got another 1x16 to expand

The original purchase of the laptop, the touchpad did not work at all. The return process isnt quite as easy as I still havent even recieved credit yet and I ordered it the beginning of September. I had to order it a 2nd time due to work and after a week or 2 the charging cord fritz and stopped working. I had to work with Amazon who had to connect me with Acer which was such a pain to get a replacement charging cord sent. Now with all that said, I do enjoy the laptop for gaming and work. The start up is so seemless and the gameplay is flawless! I love the option to turn on the fan separately when playing a high usage game, and the customization of colors of the keys are a plus. I do also love the additon of the side number keypad as I occasionaly work with numbers and it makes it so much easier. I hope that the glitches I had in the beginning were just out of the norm and this will be a future proof laptop!!

This laptop usually comes stock with Windows 10 but it seems someone decided to upgrade these to Windows 11. This means that you cant roll it back to 10 by the time you get it (because obviously the 10 days have expired) and if you try to do a clean install of Windows 11, the touchpad will stop working. What fixed this for me was going into optional updates and something being there that said to download if youre experiencing certain issues with devices and such. I hate what they did as the customer should have got to choose whether or not to do the free upgrade and not have this preinstalled.

I bought this specifically for gaming, but does not come with an SD Card slot. Not a big deal, but for something this high end, you would expect all the bells and whistles.

I went to the Acer Helios website to see if it was just me, and it sure isnt. This computer freezes a LOT during bootup. I bought it brand new and for whatever reason, 1 out of every 2 times that I try to power it on, itll just freeze on the boot up screen forcing me to do a hard reset.

i dont dislike a thing its everything i ever wanted in a Laptop i have been playing games non stop on it its so beautiful and sexy god i love it and it came on time thank god every thing went good if you pay that much money for something you want it to work out the box and it did YESSS

So far it’s fantastic! Downloaded several games and not a problem running them! Even on ultra settings!

This is gonna be short and sweet. It hasn’t given me any issues while gaming, producing music, and just surfing the web. The processor is definitely a step up from what I have and I plan to keep it here. The only CON I have is that when you unplug this guy gaming is not the way to go. Keep it plugged in for the best results while you’re gaming. Everything else works as normal but gaming lacks as soon as you hit about 30% 40%
