Mostly just wanted to share what I didnt know.. the i9-12900H cannot be undervolted to help cool the system. You cant do it in the BIOS, or with XTU or Throttlestop.. its an Intel thing.. that being said you CAN easily control the fan speeds, etc. to try to keep the temps you want.

Pros: Fast business Laptop and great gaming PC. Plenty of memory and HD space. Great graphics because of the GeForce board with its own memory. Good sound card if you use a quality headset.

Broke in a years time, no longer connects to wifi and battery life is terrible

Take it from someone who had been lugging around an Acer Predator Helios 300 for the past couple years prior to picking this up: Youre gonna love the light, slim and sleek design of the Triton 500. Im in love with this machine, and if youre predisposed to liking/loving the Acers Predator line of products, you will love it too. If you inherently do not like them, I wont be able to say anything to change your mind, as they far from revolutionary--but priced to actually afford. Ive been using this Triton model for about two months and have been having some of the best gaming experiences of my life, which is not always easy when you have to be on the go as much as I am (traveling weekly for work). Buy with confidence; Acer has a winning gaming laptop on their hands here.

I am interested in the Acer Predator Triton 500 PT515-52-73L3 Gaming Laptop for one primary reason - to drive (at a framerate greater than 30FPS) an LG 55 HDR display at 3840 × 2160 with the graphics detail cranked up to at least High End within the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. I also need to plug the flight peripherals plugged directly into the laptop. Can this laptop handle it?

I have had mine for a couple of months now. It has ridden in planes, seen foreign countries, and has always worked.

The laptop itself is great. I purchased the one with i9-12900h + 3080ti, it’s definitely a beast of a laptop.

Unsurprisingly everything about this laptop is killer fast. It’s surprisingly light given its hardware. I would strongly advise keeping this laptop is an elevated position though this thing gets H O T! Laptop cooling just isn’t up for the task. I couldn’t imagine tying to use the “turbo boost” button the laptop comes with.

This is an excellent laptop for gaming, office or school. Its understated design (other than the fan outlets) help it fit in anywhere. It also delivers on speed, fabulous, fast & bright screen, good battery life, excellent keyboard & good sound (although, you will probably want headphones if the fans get humming during a long gaming session).
