I got this laptop five months ago. From the first time I turned it on Ive had issues with the monitor and screen tearing on start up. Luckily that issue only happens when I first turn it on. Ive also had issues with any time it times out and the screen goes into rest mode or a dark screen it will freeze there and I will have to hard shut down the laptop. Then about 2 months into owning this laptop the wifi card died. Now 5 months in the USB ports have stopped working. Its possible I could have gotten a dud from the factory but my personal experience has been horrible.

Paid ~$1300 for this on sale from $1800 and got a quality machine for the price. I mostly use it for MMO gaming -- Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV. I play some twitchier games like Warframe and Pinball.

The Predator Laptop is a very light and thing gamer friendly laptop mostly compatible for a traveling lifestyle. The keyboard is an upgrade from past generations and allows quick response time and accuracy with a light up keyboard suitable for night time use. With various customizations the user can add their own creativeness to their gaming experience and set their own gaming boundaries. The predator laptop is the next generation surface for gaming.

It has an on-boot feature where it plays this loud sound and does some silly RGB keyboard animation. The sound can be disabled through BIOS and/or the PredatorSense app. The RGB keyboard animation CANNOT. This animation occurs on-boot and whenever the laptop wakes up. This basically ruins the laptop for me.

This is a great laptop for gaming, handles just about all the big name games out there with setting on ultra/high.

This laptop has exceeded my initial expectations. Able to push 80+ FPS while keeping my GFX settings set high on all games Ive tried thus far (Borderlands 3, Doom Eternal, and FF14).

An incredible gaming laptop that runs like dream. It lets you fully customize the color and motion of your keyboard. The sound is incredibly clear but not that loud but paired with a sound system makes for an incredible experience. The size and weight of it makes it easy to carry around also. The only down side of this laptop is it only has 500something gigabytes but its easy to buy a external side that being said the built in ssd does download games at incredible speeds.

This laptop is a beast. Gaming gets me 300-400 fps on normal settings and 120-150 on ultra. No video lag. The only issue I faced was with windows, but it is a different story. A lovely silent keyboard and turbojets fan would cool this baby down. This kind of laptop doesnt tend to be battery efficient due to the loaded CPU and GPU. If you are playing you have around 45 minutes once your parent shuts the braker down. If you are on a budget it is a great opportunity to get a gaming laptop. I do wish there would be more compatibility to update ram for the future since it is kinda a big investment and I would last it longer than 2 years. It is definnatly not portable laptop even though it is a laptop, this beast is a bit heavy. But you are purchasing this powerful machine for a reason right? not for business meetings. Great item and I would recommend it!

This is an excellent gaming laptop. It is thin, light, the screen is gorgeous, and the chassis looks fantastic. However being thin and light the thermals are always going to be terrible. If you use the discrete GPU this laptop will heat up to around 90 degrees for the CPU and GPU quickly doing even basic tasks such as web browsing, reading emails, or youtube. You will not be sitting with this on your lap at these temps it is painfully hot. This Triton ships with discrete GPU always on in the PredatorSense menu. Turn that off and it will only use the discrete GPU when needed (for gaming). This allows this laptop to maintain a much more comfortable 35 - 40 degree temp for everyday tasks and remains very quiet with low fan speeds at these lower temps.
