AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler

Got this right when it first came out and its been great ever since. Its the perfect mid-range gaming CPU option. Its handled pretty much everything ive thrown at it (1440p) like a champ. I have the capability of upgrading if I wanted to right now, but I just dont feel the need. Its still doing just fine with what I need so I feel no need to upgrade just yet

Dont buy from Amazon, they ship it with zero protection. Mine came with the box crushed and pins bent on the CPU. Great processor though.

This is a great cpu for the price. Its perfectly designed for gaming. Anything more and you start to get diminishing returns per dollar spent.

I dont know if it was the motherboard or the RAM, but I had consistent BSODs on the 4th gen i7 this CPU replaced. It would be stable only by downclocking the RAM to 1333 and using 8-9-9-9 3T, so this may not be a fair comparison to the i7 4790k.

Great processor for the money. If you can find it at MSRP it’s more than worth it.

Had issues with my motherboard even then according how webpages, it should be compatible, might have been just me thought

65 TDP a bit low with included cooler.

i got about a 20 frame + bost in HOIV and other single-threaded only games got that 20+% increase
