Probably not worth the extra price over a 3700X but if this is what you got its a very powerful cpu. Some issues I would say are that you need to get the updated chipset drivers. Also you should get a high end cooler for this cpu because the stock cooler is loud and annoying.

The R7-3800X requires neither introduction nor special commendation. Its just the best. Its fast, powerful, future-proof, and miraculously cheaper than any of its direct competitors, including the 3700X (Amazon had a Black Friday lightning deal for 3800X at $397, probably the first time it broke below four hundred in Canada).

Ja er ist nur geringfügig schneller als ein 3700X. Aber trotzdem schneller ;-). Er ist beim Gaming dafür aber in etwa so schnell wie ein 3900x und er lässt sich allcore besser übertakten. Für ein High End System wo es nicht auf die letzen 3 Watt zum Sparen ankommt die bessere Wahl. Lässt sich locker auf 4,4 GHz allcore übertakten. Mit einem gescheiten Prozessorkühler wie Mugen 5 PCGH und Noctua Gehäuselüftern mit angepasster Lüfterkurve wir er auch nicht zu heiss und bleibt schön leise . Betreibe ihn mit RTX 2080 TI. Zocke alle Games in 4K HDR auf maximalen Einstellungen. X370 Board mit neuesten Chipsatz Treibern und BIOS (1003ABB). In Windows Energieplan Ryzen Master. Hatte warum auch immer Probleme mit Avira Antivir. PC hing sich beim Laden auf oder braucht paar Minuten . Lösung : deinstalliert und Windows Defender genutzt was nach neusten Tests eh besser sein soll. Läuft jetzt alles wie Butter. Hatte vorher 1700x und gerade beim Spielen sind kleinere Hänger jetzt weg. Hätte nicht gedacht das es beim Spielen so Unterschiede macht . Es ist scheinbar das laden eines Bereiches (Millisekunden ) bis die Rtx 2080 ti übernimmt . Die CPU boostet auf bestimmten einzelnen Kernen bis 4525 mhz. (PBO)

Beyond impressed with this CPU. Stable. Fast. Runs COLD. Paired with an X570 chipset this thing can move mountains. Highly recommend

So happy to be apart of the Red team with the amazing stuff theyre doing these days. I had intel for several years in my previous gaming PC and it was good but intel is doing shady things and I just dont want to support them. This is a huge upgrade and should make this easily a 10 year PC. As far as value, normally the 3700x is by far a better deal, but I was able to snag this for an insanely low price on black friday for essentially the same price as the 3700x.

my box was damaged and I’m afraid the item is used. The manual and inside was all scratched up and bent. Clearly not a new product. Will be returning.
