This cpu is amazing, I bought this over an i7-9700k and do no regret it. The AM4 platform is guaranteed to be upgradable till 2022 so if I want to upgrade in 2 years I will not have to buy another motherboard, and fwith 8 cores 16 threads I can edit videos and render so much better that I could with my i7-7700k. Would recommend this for anyone who is thinking about getting an upgrade or is looking to a pc.

Worked seamslessly with my X570 based motherboard. I did replace the stock fan as it is too noisy for my taste. The 120mm and larger fans on tower heatsink work better but of course they do not look as cool as the stock heatsink.

I hate to give such a low review of this CPU because the CPU is really good even though it is pricey. The fact that I did it was to draw attention to the issue that Amazon refuses to honor promos from retailers even though the promo was listed on their website at the time of purchase and listed on AMDs website as participating retailer. Do yourself a favor and order this from another retailer that will honor their promos. Numerous chats, calls and messages to Amazon they still refuse to honor the promo and will not work to resolve it. I have never in the past ever had an issue with this, but for this particular Equipped To Win promo I am not the only one. Reddit is filled with reports of Amazon not honoring this even though it was listed on their site. Other than this the CPU is genuinely good and issue free. I placed this in a build that is running 32GB of RAM and a Vega 56 GPU and get amazing frame rates of every game I have ran so far.
