AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

Context: I came from an i7-6700k and my main game is rainbow 6 Siege and I was hitting 95% cpu usage while playing the game at 1440p with low/medium textures. Streaming was entirely out of the question as well since my 1080TI was up at like 70% as well, unfortunately.

Did not come with the Wraith Prism LED Cooler. Just a stock AMD fan.

I wanted to wait for 4xxx to upgrade my 4790k, but my motherboard started dying so I decided I might as well buy this one, for the price its a great deal and will last for years. Great for any work relying on CPU, compiling large codebases, encoding videos, multitasking in general. You can play a game and run something resource heavy in the background, and it matches or beats i9s in games as well. The only downside is that you really need a good cooler but with 12 cores running above 4GHz most of the time its not really surprising.

Was installed on an ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Mobo x570 chipset. It has major incompatibility issues with the motherboard it is installed on. Most have no available correct drivers and the result is a premium priced 2020 AMD CPU with 2010 performance. It was easy to install and the provided AMD fan was good enough. But you MUST, absolutely MUST make sure you are using this on a compatible x570 motherboard that has actual experience. ASUS motherboards are NOT compatable with this processor and make it perform as if it has the capacity of 1/10 of its speed.
