It is working great so far, things feel a bit more snappy. I upgraded from a ddr3 motherboard and a much older amd processor. I did not expect the large led cpu fan, it is a little louder than my Dark Rock cpu fan was on the old processor but it is no where near as loud as the original cpu fan that came with my old amd processor ( that thing sounded like a helicopter taking off). It is not loud enough to be annoying or anything, its pretty easy to tune out and just forget its there. I do love the rainbow swirl colors on the fan though, they are really cute.

Cant believe I managed to get one during these shortages. Maybe it was because it was my birthday. The hype is real. This CPU leaves you wanting for nothing and the price is so low youd have to be ignorant of the market and performance to buy anything else.

The AMD 3900x is marketed as a 3.8Ghz base, 4.6Ghz boost, processor; however, it can realistically only boost to about 4.2 or 4.3. Apparently its been a known issue for a long time and yet AMD is still over promising / under delivering. Im very disappointed, I dont like being lied to.

This chip is super slick, super fast. If youre going to run games, you need to buy a graphics card and integrate it with your build. This chip will not play games on its own. I ran into an issue with RTX NVIDIA game cards not working. GTX game card did work. Theres a drivers or compatibility issue with either this chip or the mother board where it wont see the graphics card. The build checker I used, said this would all work. I believe its NVIDIAs issue because everything else works fine without them. So, do some research on the graphics card part of your build.

I mean I had to get all new water cooling for this and so I cant recall if my fans were as loud then as they were now but whatever, MSI Afterburner to control fan speeds, beyond that this thing is an absolute BEAST everything is running insanely fast!
