As trucks get taller we need ways to get in them. This has been a great addition to my husband’s work truck. His entire crew uses it, and even me when I had to hop in to find something. It tucks up very nicely, and is smooth to pull down. Going up can be a bit snappy, but it is more shocking than anything (yes, it is that girl jump from me).

Easy to install. Well made. Works perfect.

Great assist and product. The hardest part was removing the stock Y bracket! Easy to install and use.

Love this thing, but its a bit pricey. I would like to have one on the side of the bed for the tool box too, but theyre just too expensive to purchase at the same time. After installing and using this for a couple years I ended up knocking it off while backing up to dump some branches. Only took 2 days without it to order another.

I purchased this because when I have our Travel Trailer connected to my 2017 Ram 2500, I cant open the tailgate. This allows me easy access to my bed to put in or take out whatever I need to. It wasnt too bad to install, but I did have to use the spacer - which I only realized AFTER I fully installed it. I just wish the instructions were more clear as to wether or not you did need the spacer on specific trucks.

I didnt realize how much I would come to appreciate this thing. I use it all the time to get in and out of the bed. There really isnt a way in and out when the tailgate is down. I have a 2018 RAM 2500 diesel. Fit perfectly. It was straightforward to install; however, you do have to have a torque wrench. My one complaint suggestion is that there are three small allen bolts that hold the step onto the rest of the hardware. Their torque setting is way below the torque range of the other bolts. So really cant use a single torque wrench. Also, couldnt use bicycle torque wrench which is all in metric. Anyway, I overtightened one of the bolts and stripped it. The company quickly sent me replacement. Would be much better if they could tighten into a more solid material so torque setting could be done with same torque wrench as the other bolts.

This step is a life saver. Well worth the money!!!!! I’m gonna purchase the side step next to get to my transfer tank faster. No more rolling onto the high tailgate to get in the bed lmao and y’all know what I’m talking about

First the good... Installed on a 2108 Ram 2500 with Cummins diesel. Install was easy. 20 - 30 minutes. The step folds down easy and definitely makes getting in the bed of my truck much easier. It folds up nicely under the bumper when not being used. The folding brace itself seems sturdy enough. Now for the questionable... The step that attaches to the folding brace is plastic and the bolts to attach the step to the folding brace are pretty small. Not sure how long the plastic step will last before I have to drill my own holes and re-install with sturdier bolts. Time will tell. I gave it 5 stars at this point. If I have an issue with the plastic step not lasting, Ill update this review.

Installing was straight forward and very easy. Took about 20 minutes to install. Makes getting in and out of the bed a whole lot better especially on a 4x4 truck. There are other brands on the market but AMP came highly recommended by my dealership.
