Anti-theft Classic Essential Messenger Bag, Nutmeg

Great bag for what its worth. Served the purpose as a travel bag. Glad ordered brown, instead of black for a change. Using the bag now as my purse. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

Security wise it was everything it said it was. The problem I had was that the purse got wet and all my documents inside

I loved this purse! I recently traveled to England and was targeted by thieves pretending to be friendly. I absolutely credit this purse for discouraging them, as they could not pickpocket me or slash and grab it. I also was wearing it cross-body, which also helped. We had taken pictures with them and it was so creepy to see how they had me surrounded. A definite recommend!

It had all the pockets/compartments I wanted. It had lots of safety features. But, it had a “U” shaped opening on the main compartment. The “U” shape made it difficult to get items into and out of the purse. I realized this too late to return it. I did order another of the same brand (Travelon) with a different main compartment opening that is working much better.

I am great fan of Travelon bags.

I LOVE THIS BAG! This is the best bag I have ever bought. Ive had lots of handbags over the years (all kinds including coach) and NONE of them have met all of the criteria I had like this one does. Its small enough that it doesnt overwhelm my small frame (also keeps me from carrying around too much stuff). But its big enough to carry all of the things that I want to have with me when I leave the house. It has a slim profile that rests neatly at my side without sticking out like some bags do. The construction is sturdy. There are plenty of pockets to keep my items organized. I bought a zippered purse organizer separately which houses all the things I want in the main pouch so that they arent jumbled all together which makes it easy to find what Im looking for without digging around. The strap is the perfect length (adjusted to its shortest length) to wear on one shoulder. It can be worn as a cross body as well which is comfortable (Ive had cross body bags before that werent comfortable). The strap is also flat and sturdy and doesnt slip off of my shoulder like many others have (I have narrow shoulders). The color is beautiful. Its a vibrant purple which I love. I wasnt sure about the color when I ordered it, but I love the color in person. The material of the bag wasnt quite what I expected. I was expecting something with a softer feel and glossier look. This is more stiff, but its not problematic. It appears to be very sturdy which should wear well. I will definitely buy this bag again (if it ever wears out --by the look and feel of it, that should be a while).

Im not sure it is possible to wear out a Travelon purse. Ive had one for many years and it still looks good. Recently I bought another (different color and size). This purse is great except the main compartment has several pockets along with the large middle area. The way this purse is constructed it is sometimes difficult to pull out items easily. I love the front zip area with credit card slots - wish there were a few more. These are purses designed for travel and everyday use, are practically weatherproof, and somewhat stylish. I would buy again.
