> 24 hourPlaying any first person shooter with this monitor at 240Hz was a great improvement over my 60Hz monitor. The 60Hz monitor would give me motion sickness after maybe 30 minutes or so. Not to mention my aim was terrible since everything looked very blurry. With the new monitor I cant say i felt any motion sickness since there was no blur, and everything looked so much more clear when moving around and trying to aim. Much much better gaming performance than I expected for the price at 1080p. Eventually I will go for a similar monitor at 4k.

> 24 hourTo start, I am not a monitor expert nor am I someone who can tell you all the details about it. I think that the AOC Gaming CQ27G3S is a good monitor. It is a good value for a screen with nice specs! When I tested my monitor, I found that it has no dead pixels, and most of the information about it is accurate. The screen quality is very nice when you are watching videos or gaming. The color gamut seems pretty good to me, and the blacks are definitely a lot better than my old screen. It also has a nice amount of control over the picture if you want to tweak it more. The one thing that I have had an issue with is something called backlight bleed. If you dont know what that is, research on it. Im not saying that this is an issue with just this monitor, as I want to say most VA panels will have some amount of backlight bleed, especially curved ones. I have read that it can go down over time, and I also think my monitor doesnt have it that bad. I just want to say that if you expecting a perfect panel, you probably wont get it. Either way, this is a good monitor for the price! Check it out!

> 24 hourUpdate #2 : Just bought myself a second AOC monitor, this time the 34 ultra wide 2k 144mhz. A very good monitor for gaming! So far Im liking this monitor a good deal. Its what Id expect. There is definitely better but absolutely nothing wrong with this one for the price point. You definitely want to have g-sync/adaptive sync off though. If youre getting this for that, then look elsewhere. But honestly both those features are pretty irrelevant IMO. Ive tested numerous gaming monitors from cheap to rich pig expensive and not one time was I ever like oh wow! That g-sync really made my experience better! In this monitors case, I find that it reduces performance while not improving picture quality much. Other than that its great.... no dead pixels, only slight ghosting on black screens, pixel response time is fast enough (again, as long as g-sync/adaptive sync are both turned off). Brightness is more than satisfactory for any room that isnt quite literally a room surrounded by glass windows. (outdoor use in the sun would be a bit rough, but who does that?) I have two primary complaints : 1) The curvature pretty much does nothing, as it is too slight for a monitor 27 or larger (i got the 27 here). Might be ok for a 24 or smaller. 2) Every single cable it came with was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Even the power cord! This is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Luckily I had higher quality versions already available to me. Id recommend this to any gamer who isnt a top tier e-sports player and wants to spend a reasonable (as opposed to excessive) amount of money on a good monitor. I WOULD NOT recommend this to anyone who thinks g-sync and adaptive sync are essential to their gaming. Obviously considering my cable issues, Id also recommend you purchase your own ahead of time.

> 24 hourI’ve been an owner of the 27” 144hz AOC Monitor since 2020 and I can say this monitor has lived to my expectations greatly. The performance is great, it is still responsive to the millisecond, and it works just fine. I haven’t had any dead pixels or any bugs with it. It works perfectly fine to this very day. Honestly a 10/10 monitor and it was the first monitor I ever bought for my gaming setup.

> 24 hourI was able to get the monitor on sale for $150. Great monitor for the price. Colors are vivid and getting 144-165 fps is amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade without breaking the bank like I was.

> 24 hourThis monitor has an excellent picture and is one of the most vibrant displays Ive ever purchased. However, its response time is slow and screen blur is almost unbearable. The monitor uses a VA panel that can bump out 4ms at minimum and I was looking for 1ms. So basically, this display would be really nice for editing photos or watching movies but i wouldnt recommend it for gaming. Especially not for competitive fps, as the response time is way worse than other products out there.

> 24 hourMoved a few hours down the road and despite careful packaging and movement one of my two monitors broke on the drive. Im the only one who handled them so I know it wasnt mishandled.

> 24 hourThis monitors attributes come together to make it what I think is the best gaming monitor on the market. Low motion blur (which is amazing), 144hz, 1ms response time, good quality picture and 2k. The best part of it being the low motion blur, its hard to find 1ms 144hz monitors with low motion blur, and it makes gaming on this better than any monitor Ive used. The world of gaming monitors is confusing and the price of a monitor doesnt equal the quality, but to put it simply, if anything, this monitor is massively under-priced.
