Greater than one weekTwo original tubes were broken during the tests. I hope these last much longer. Good price.

> 3 dayReplacement API test tubes. I dont have the actual 24-pack, but I have plenty from purchasing individual tests and kits. Standard borosilicate glass. The caps wear out fast. They stop sealing as tight, and you will find yourself splashed with drops if you vigorously shake them, requiring you to put extra pressure on the cap to keep all of the liquid in. If you clean them with diluted bleach solution, it will dissolve the paint on them, so beware of that. The price for a replacement pack is ridiculous, and API doesnt sell them in any lesser packages at retail unless you go thru them, then its $2 per test tube. Edit: I have since purchased a pack of these, but my review remains unchanged.

Greater than one weekOnly 2 were broken when the arrived. These are the same quality tubes that came with the api test kit. I use the for testing water quality in my aquaponics system.

> 3 dayMost of our flooring is not carpet and with having a dedicated fish room we test a lot of water. Since my husband has a knack for dropping these and breaking them we needed these replacements. However they are priced too high considering they break so easily. I tried to find a comparable off brand but to no avail.

> 3 dayThe test bottles themselves are fine. No complaint. Cheapest option is buying them in bulk. But the box opened up while they were being shipped. It would take one tiny piece of tape to prevent this. It ended up in me only getting 22 instead of 24. Two broke. Thankfully it wasn’t more. There’s no way to contact the seller on Amazon and my only option for damage is shipping the whole thing back for exchange. Being that I am down to one API tube without this kit and that I am cycling a brand new tank, I can’t afford to not have these tubes so I am just left with a lesser value. Hopefully the seller reaches out after this review to send me two replacements for the shipping damage.

> 3 dayGot these when the price mysteriously dropped to $8-9. At that cost, the poor seal and excessive number of tubes were not so big an issue. I would NOT but them at a dollar a piece... Got the stainless steel test tube holder by heath scientific? And that keeps all the tubes in check without too many extra spaces.

07-06-2025My son accidentally broke two of the glass test tubes that came with the ammonia and pH test kits. Just when I needed it most, I had nothing. The pandemic made it worse, where Petco and PetSmart were always out of stock. So, I made sure that I ordered a set of 24 in case of more accidents. The glass is not that thick but sheer so that you can make a good color reading which is important. Im skeptical about using the plastic bottles because Im not sure how clear they would be to make a good reading. Plus, I prefer glass for the share visibility. I wish the glass was more durable though, because the cleanup SAR another issue, tiny glass pieces can be missed and end up in your Barefoot. Ouch! Overall: good for sheer visibility color check. Value: could be cheaper as glass always needs to be replaced when broken.

> 3 dayI have too many tanks and like to test them all at once so I needed more test tubes. Came intact and just the same as the tubes I from the freshwater master test kit.
