API REPLACEMENT TEST TUBES WITH CAPS For Any Aquarium Test Kit Including API Freshwater Master Test Kit 24-Count Box

I use the api master test kit often and the tubes and lids that come with the kit work perfectly. For some reason with the replacements the lids don’t seal properly and when you shake them to perform your test the liquid comes sloshing out. At least two of the test solutions can cause corrosion to metals and can cause both skin and eye damage. I don’t really see how these are safe to use. I also can not see how the test can be accurate as you are losing both tank water and test solution with every shake.

Only 2 were broken when the arrived. These are the same quality tubes that came with the api test kit. I use the for testing water quality in my aquaponics system.

I use these in my college-level science lab - because they have a flat bottom, you dont need test tube racks! They are small. If you need large tubes, these wont work. We use them for water analysis, and they are great.

First, I hate that you have to buy a package this big. I wish they made smaller packages with maybe 4-5 tubes instead of 24. This was packaged very poorly. It was thrown into a huge box with some fish food I had purchased and had 1, I repeat ONE, air packet protecting the product. 3 out of 24 of the tubes were broken and there was glass all over the box. If I had received 20 or less I would have sent it back. Over all the test tubes are clean and the caps are very snug. I use these with my API master test kit. I suppose I will order again if I ever need to.

Accurate to 5ml line. Tops are just a bit leaky like mentioned. Most irritating to me was I only received 22 of the 24.

of course these are great but I (or anyone I know) would ever need 24?! Should really make a smaller box. I only wanted a few extras since I broke one of my own. Also there was no bubble wrap around them. This box was thrown into a large amazon box. I have no idea how none of them managed to break.

I thought I only needed a handful, but ended up needing over 3 times as many test tubes for testing aquarium water. So, having the large pack with extras was perfect and suited me perfectly. Same vials that come in test kits.

I love these. Ive broken so many by dropping them on a tile floor and decided to buy this instead of more test kits and it was absolutely worth it. You should pick up the test tube rack as well because that makes doing water tests all that easier. You can also test your pool with it too if you want. I do just because I can. Two different tests are better than one right?

Good value for the price. I just wish the caps were tighter. If I shake too hard liquid leaks from the caps.

I have the API Freshwater Master Test Kit, which comes with 4 test tubes. I do test for all five parameters on my potentially overstocked tanks before and after water changes. Having these extra test tubes makes it easier for me as I do not have to wash out my test tubes as I am conducting my testing on my tanks. Also, I have a before and after standard available to me for straight comparison. I tried using various vials and such (free stuff) to do my water tests, but the colour comparison with the API chart is best visible using API standardized test tubes. I would recommend that every aquarist/fishkeeper get themselves a set of these test tubes. Makes life a lot simpler.
