> 3 dayNot heavy enough for 55 gallon tanks, floats to the top. Even if buried in sand would not recommend for anything over 30 gallons

> 3 dayIm pretty happy with the price and the outcome. I put 2 of these in the back of my 24x24x24 60 gallon cube. Note: This sponge filter will not operate without a bubbler. So far its filtering pretty well. It managed to filter the debris in the front of the tank over night with one bubbler connected to 2 sponges set to half strength. The betta girls are pretty happy with this filter and relax in the front of the tnak. The veiltail cherry barbs enjoy playing in the bubbles.

> 3 dayDont know how well they will perform. They float more than any other sponge filter Ive owned. Took all night to sink with a rock sitting on it, even after squeezing all the air out of it.

Greater than one weekI’m starting an aquarium for the first time and I was advised to use these filters. The price and quality is great

> 3 dayI find these to work as well as the old hydro sponges that are getting hard to find. Pro tips: These have a tube running through the middle that brings the air to the bottom. If your air pump is not strong enough to push water through the sponge, just break this middle piece off.
