Works as expected and is the same product as available in stores but for much less!

So the item pictured is not what arrives as there is a different packaging. However the product is Aqueon and matches the filters I used. So there maybe old or newer packaging. The photo should be updated with what the customer will be receiving.

Received this product, directly from Aqueon. While everything fits fine, and cleans the water one would think the filter itself would be thicker. Its a design issue, not quality. The entire filter is 1/8-1/4 inch thick. Considering the cost per unit, if they would either put more mechanical filter material or charcoal or both. There is plenty of room in the stock filters using this filter cartridge to allow for more, which would make me feel like I was getting my moneys worth. I am considering using a foam filter block instead, which can be rinsed out, and reused. Greener, and a lot less expensive.
