Arches Watercolor Pad, 9 x 12

It was actually less rough than I expected and I was able to get interesting brush strokes on the paper. More so than Cold Pressed. It will not be my goto paper but when I want more textures, Rough workd great.

I love this paper for watercolor painting. It gives pictures more life.

This is the paper every art teacher recommends. Totally worthed. I use it for my final pictures.

I love Arches paper and always use cold press so I wanted to try the rough to see the difference. It has its place for certain applications ie landscapes perhaps. A bit non absorbent unless you pre wet your paper.

Best paper I have used

I buy this product and take it with me while traveling. I love Arches but I cant always afford a whole block of paper. Arches is an excellent watercolor paper especially for loose painting because I use a lot of water.

Thought Id give this a try....Unfortunately for me, this watercolor paper is a bit too rough...just wanted to give it a try...Will try some other techniques on this rough paper to see how it handles different degrees of wetness.
