Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste

They dont say it really on this ad but Arctic Silver is a conductive thermal paste. Please be careful and dont over apply.

I put it to the test, it passed. I ran the same CPU intensive operation comparing stock vs silver vs gold. Even before the 200 hour break-in period, under 80% load on an i7 4790k it outperformed Intels stock thermal compound by 1-2*c. It outperformed the gold thermal compound by 4-5*c. It is nice and thick consistency, making application easy.

Arctic Silver 5 High-Density thermal compound is relatively expensive compound but in my opinion it performs much better than average thermal compounds.

It was my first time ever applying something like this to my rig, so I was a bit nervous Id mess it up. My reason for purchasing this was because my PC has been shutting itself off recently so I checked its idling temp and my CPU was between 90-115C, yes thats in Celsius, and no nothing is melted. I am just as surprised as you are. After receiving it I applied a small line of it between my CPU and its heat sink and due to that, along with the installation of a new case fan, my CPU idling temp dropped down to 55C! I know thats still a bit high but to be honest I couldnt be any happier with the results. I will DEFINITELY be purchasing this again in the future!

With proper installation(VERY IMPORTANT), drops the temperature about 10 degree celsius. Fantastic product.

This can get a little sloppy and can stain your clothe, but it does help transfer heat. The original chip barley had any.

I used this product on my GPU and the overall temp. did reduce by a few degrees. Shipping was great and the item came as advertised. You only need to use a small dot since it spreads very easily is more than sufficient.
