03-06-2025I have used this same stuff for over a decade on every build and thermal compound refresh. It never lets me down and doesnt dry up to a powder. Cleans easily with isopropyl alcohol.

> 3 dayCant go wrong with Artic 5. It keeps my i5 3570k cool even under load. Never gets above 65 with Cooler Master 212.

> 3 dayExcellent TIM and doesnt dry out. Been using it for many years and its still my go to choice. It is hard to clean up but it spreads nicely and had excellent thermal conductivity. Id recommend getting a set of Arctic Silver thermal material remover and thermal surface purifier with this. It really helps clean your surfaces as well as getting this stuff off when you change processors/coolers.

> 3 dayMost of the thermal grease or compound that comes either pre-applied or with a cooler is like wet toothpaste when applied. This stuff is like liquid silver. You barely even need a dot to cover an entire surface and it works very well. It is dense and conducts heat like there is no threshold between your equipment and the block. I dont have the differences in numbers to share, but I can tell you that my CPU is sitting at 27°C right now with a $30 air cooler.

> 3 dayall thermal compounds are pretty much the same, a litte bit better than mayonaise and not nearly as gross after a few days.

> 3 dayThis is probably the absolute best thermal paste that Ive used. Ive seen improvements of 14 degrees Celsius when compared to other brands like Cooler Master, MASSCOOL, etc....
