I tried to fix this to a wood ceiling and the anchors didn’t stay fix when tightening the screws. Also, O would expect security screws. Anybody can remove them and get the camera off.

I like the cameras and I like how easy they were to set up but I was expecting the same features as a wired camera meaning I can have the live view up all the time for a live feed of what is going on in front of my house while Im working in the office away from the front door. If I use them for a live feed on a dedicated monitor like my iPad Im sure the camera batteries would be drained quickly and CR 123 batteries arent fairly cheap like AAs or C batteries. I think these cameras are best designed to detect motion similar and record a clip of that motion similar to my Ring doorbell for that type of security use similar to a Field Game camera you can strap to a tree. Although they can be used for a live feed you would replace batteries constantly so perhaps having rechargeable batteries would help but thats not guaranteed. I love the true wireless capability but at the same time thats the feature which hinders their ability to do a constant live feed without constantly replacing batteries. I still give them five stars because they are great at what they are designed to do and the live feed part is my misunderstanding/learning so depending on what youre using them for they can be great. I think ultimately I need a camera that plugs into a power source.

No locking mechanism so any thief that realizes this thing is just held on with a giant wingnut can just unscrew it and run off with your $150 camera. Good job NETGEAR.

Priced at three times similar items. Nothing special about it.

All threads should have been a bit longer. Relying on the tightening plastic nut doesnt give me a warm fuzzy when installed at heights. Great product otherwise.

The product pictures show this mount installed on an Arlo camera. On the Arlo Pro camera, Netgear moved the mount to the back right next to the power cord plug. This means the lock nut (wide plastic piece) that tightens the mount to the camera blocks the power connector. I tried to install the mount without the lock nut and it was impossible to lock the camera into position. If you install the mount with the lock nut and just use the battery power, there is very little material holding the Arlo Pro in position. So it will probably work for the Arla camera but I would not recommend it for the Arlo Pro camera. This is a design flaw from Netgear that its latest Arlo Pro doesnt mount with standard 1/4-20 mounts available worldwide.

4 stars because the screws that come with it are low end and the heads strip out easily.
