Dogs commonly tend to cross boundaries, especially if they have companions to play around. Our Gunner is 5 year old American Labrador retriever. He has lots of friends around and sometimes we don’t see him for hours. We did not consider a chain as viable option, so I was looking for a containment system to make our dog to stay home. This dog fence is a beautiful device with customizable boundary setting options and a warning intensity options per the dogs size. It comes with a user friendly instruction manual. If you have more than one dog, you need to buy a separate unit for each dog, accordingly. Once the parameter for the warning systems boundary and intensity is set, you need to start with training the dog to respond to the signal. Good news – the training guide with video is also included! It took for about a week to train the Gunner to respect the signal, and we were able to use the system without any supervision.I like that the device is portable which means we can easily take it when we visit my parents. You set up it once and it will automatically link with GPS next time. After using it for 2 weeks, I noticed that GPS may have 2-3 yards location error which is usually insignificant.

My first impression was that the presentation was fantastic. It looks and feels high quality. Everything was packaged very nicely and in pristine condition. I love the matte finish of the transmitter. It’s light weight and easy to hold. I also love that it comes with 2 collar options - nylon or a rubber feeling one. Also has 2 prong sizes. The charger is my only disappointment as you can not charge the transmitter and the collar at the same time as you can with some more expensive products, but for the value, it’s a slight inconvenience to be honest. I love the beep and vibrate function as this is all I will need to use. I have a more expensive brand and I was always surprised there was no beep option. Just the stim and vibrate. So far so good and I would definitely suggest giving this a try.

Definitely keeps my dog in the boundaries, but only when it has a GPS signal. Randomly my dog would leave the boundary, when I would retrieve her from down the street, the signal would be 0 and therefore would not be penalizing for leaving. Also, random times the dog would be penalized well inside the boundaries. I contacted support and they suggested reestablishing the center point every 4-5 days.

My dog is thrilled that he can run around in my new yard, and I’m thrilled that I don’t have to install a fence. Great purchase and seems to work perfectly!

I’ve never used a shock collar before, but I have a very stubborn husky that is a year and a half old. My dad kept telling me to get a shock collar, but I was scared I was going to hurt her with it... after seeing how well my best friends dog did with her shock collar, I decided to buy one. This shock collar was super easy to put together. It’s very attractive and sleek looking. My Dad was very surprised at how low cost this collar was, as he always used shock collars that were $400 and up to train his hunting dogs. I am very pleased with my purchase!!

I scatter it in bottom of litter box before litter and it keeps it smelling fresh.

I followed all the directions to set this up for our Great Pyrenees. We walked the.l boundary together and I taught him that when he beeps, he should return towards the house. It worked for one day. You have to allow for the GPS to find the set location each time you turn it on, which can take a minute or so. But, by the 2nd day, the GPS was unreliable. It would find the set point and say he was only 5 feet away from it when on our porch, and next thing I know I hear it beeping at him and shocking. I took the collar off and it said 205 (we had the radius set at 135). The signal had 5 bars. Then the next day, similar thing. Good signal and put it on him and he went to the neighbors house which is way past the 135 it was set at. I would not waste the money on it. I will be sending it back. So disappointed.
