> 24 hourBought this for use with my MacBook air. Not a great choice because it needs two USBs hooked up and the cord is short, meaning you have to buy a USB extension or use more than one device to power it. The cord should be long enough to reach the other side of a computer if you need both for power. Also, it wont show up on the desktop when there is a blank disc. There is a work around, but its not ideal.

> 24 hourOK - I only gave it a 4-star rating because I just tested it. Multiple use will come later. I like the long (20) cord because it is easier to use on my iMac or PC desktop than a silly 10 +/- cord. It did say to plug in both USB plugs into the computer. Might be inconvenient but not a real problem. First time it was a Amicool DVD burner. It worked but the front plate on the open/close drawer was coming off. I returned it for a refund. Second time was an LG DVD burner. Tried it twice but both burns failed - and they failed differently. I assume it was a mechanical or electrical issue with the burner. I also returned it for a refund. So the third time is a charm! It worked and I hope it works for years to come as my previous Samsung DVD burner did.

> 24 hourI love this little thing. I can carry it with me if needed. It hooks to my 2 usb ports and works. I understand why they are doing away with DVD/optical drives, but the forget that some people still use them and like them. Good thing we have this option. Good product for the price. Like I said above, it works. What more do you want?

> 24 hourMy new laptop didnt come with a cd player and I had some programs I could only download from a disc. Asus is a known brand so I went with their external player. Im very pleased with this product. Easy to use and packaged well for safe shipping. Happy with my purchase.

> 24 hourI purchased this as Windows 10 does not support my no name USB3 external slim DVD (it worked on Windows 7). So, I opted for a brand this time even though this is USB 2. I am guessing that since most brand manufactures offer DVD divers as USB 2 only, that USB 3 is overkill for a DVD. I chose ASUS as my new laptop is also ASUS, and the drive worked with no issues at all on Windows 10. The surprise that I got is the M drive capability which are DVD discs that have a shelf life of 1,000 tears because they do not use the standard metal foil technology. The drive comes with two discs to test, and if you are looking for a long-term archive option that does not deteriorate like an SSD or HD Drive, this may interest you. Other than that it was plug and play for me.

> 24 hourthe outer plastic case is a bit flimsy: flimsy enough to interfere with the drive trays ability to close if you put your fingers on top of the case

> 24 hourSince cases dont have a slot for a dvd player this is easy to use just plug in the usb and works.
