> 3 dayBest headphones at the $160 price. A little sound leak if its really quite but who cares. They block out a lot of sound, not sure about flying yet. They make those over priced beats crap look even worse than they are. Audio technica sound quality is crazy good.

Greater than one weekHoly crap, these things sound amazing. I have been very picky when it comes to sound quality for years, my friends and family call me the Speaker Diva. These are easily the best sounding headphones I have heard, they are up there with the Bose Quiet Comfort, but not as much noise cancellation. I was searching on amazon for a good case to go with these $170 headphones and I came across a Slappa hard case for around $30. I added both to my cart and the total comes to be a few cents short of $200. Before I click to finalize the order I scroll down the page to see similar products and then I see it. The deal that fits me perfectly. The Headphones and the case... TOGETHER for the exact price of the headphones in my cart. AND IT HAS PRIME SHIPPING! I was more excited than I should have been. I bought it right that second and chose next day shipping. The next day I come home after work and there it is. A gorgeous box sitting on my door step. I tear through the box and get down to business. The first thing I notice is the case, this thing is massive, and I mean massive. It is large enough to easily fit headphones unfolded and has plenty of room in the middle for the three cords. The inside of the case is lined with a material I can only describe as micro-suede (microfiber combined with suede). I put the case off to the side and got down to business. The box these headphones comes in is pretty large. It has beautiful presentation that was clearly thought out. I took the headphones out and went straight to some music. The bass... the bass is amazing, you can literally hold these headphones and feel the vibrate from the bass. The Highs and Lows both sound amazing. They are incredibly clear, you can have these things at full volume and not hurt your ears because the distortion is so minimal. It comes with a warranty card that you have to fill out in order to activate it and I mail it in, and Im glad I did this, let me explain why.

> 3 dayFor those of us blessed with a giant head, life can be difficult to find comfortable sunglasses and headphones. These headphones are dreamy for both sound quality and comfort. I, like may other reviewers, am not an audiophile, but I can recognize good sound. These are silky smooth and have a punch too. I purchased them to replace the $99 Sennheiser closed headphones that were attempting to crush my skull and pop out my eyeballs. Gave those to my kid and hes loving them on his normal sized head. These headphones are my first Audia-Technica purchase and purchased based on the reviews.... thank you Amazon Reviewers for the accurate summary and recommendation. If you purchase, PLEASE consider buying on SMILE.Amazon to have a portion of your purchase go to the charity of your choice. My choice is Benicia Soccer Club!

> 3 dayMy profile first: a normal music listener. I mostly listen to rock, but more than occasionally I listen to hip hop, classic, acoustic and pop. What I am not is an audiophile. Having said that, I have never been happier over a headphone before. And I have never been involved in so much of music listening before. It almost feels like an addiction, like the feeling you get out of playing Grand Theft Auto, you keep going until your discover newer and newer music. music I never thought Id like and I love every bit of that journey. The lows from this headphone are so tight, that the music feels refined, the vocals are not muddled but the highs feel just right. You really hear the music as it was originally meant to be heard. This uniqueness is what I felt lacking in similarly priced Bose and Beats headphones. They felt artificial and modulated to somehow make you like them. They felt somewhat like a poor quality food with some taste enhancers added to them to make people like them. But the ATH-M50x felt like the real deal, while the other mainstream headphones felt phony. Drawbacks? Yes, The headphones feels a little too tight even after a month of regular usage. I guess thats just the size of my head.

> 3 dayIf you are looking for a well built, great sounding, and reasonably priced pair of studio quality headphones, then the M50x is hard to beat. These headphones provide a great listening experience for new audiophiles looking to dip a toe in the high-end headphone market and the average music listener alike. When browsing for headphones, two important categories of components are useful to determine which pair is right for you.
