> 3 dayThe only complaint I have is the leather/(pleather?) ear cuffs around the headphones after 3 years, started wearing off, leaving black leather/pleather on my skin around my ears. These are head and shoulders above my Sony headphones (50$) and arctis 3 (70$) that I have purchased, and are well worth the investment, but if youre reading this audio-technica, I love the quality of sound for stereo monitoring music production that I use them for, but please update the material of the earcuff.. 6 years in and it has been progressively wearing off more and more, i.e. Minimal; year 3, moderate wear off. year 4, serious wear off; year 5, lots of wear off; and now year 6 there are speckles of black pleather on my ears/head everytime i use them.

> 3 dayGreat monitoring, gaming, everyday listening headphones. Extremely portable, very eye-glass friendly, and very practical coming straight out of the box with three different length cords. I use these headphones at least once everyday while either gaming, listening to music, or mixing. While most other headphones begin to press on the arms of my glasses after long periods of use the ATH-M50x are perfect for long term use and everyday use. These are a great pair of headphones and I hope to use them as long as they last. These headphones replaced my Blue Mo-Fi headphones because of the Mo-Fi’s tight grip on my head and after long term use begin to press the arms of my glasses into my head causing pain and at times a slight migraine.

> 3 dayThese headphones are wonderfully comfortable and feel much more durable than the cheaper ones they are replacing.

> 3 dayBest headphones at the $160 price. A little sound leak if its really quite but who cares. They block out a lot of sound, not sure about flying yet. They make those over priced beats crap look even worse than they are. Audio technica sound quality is crazy good.

> 3 dayThe headphones are great, seriously very very nice. The hard case, not so much. The zipper broke when I pulled the manufacturers tag off of it.

Greater than one weekI hate that I love it. I bought a pair of Cloud 2 Gaming headphone to compare this to, and now I have to make a trip back to Bestbuy to return the Cloud 2s. The sound is so crisp and clear on the ATH-M50x, the mids are clean, the lows are low. I do some amateur recording with my Yeti Blue mic, and this does perfect for it. Sound isolation is great! When you are listening to stuff, you dont hear anything around you.

19-11-2024I love these headphones. I wanted something with even sound, over the ear fitment, corded and this fit the bill. I have a big and can wear them for hours at a time and they dont bother me at all.

> 3 daySnagged these during the lightning deal a few days ago, $134 for the package. Definitely worth the $169 you would pay any other time though. These things are great. They definitely require a little bit of time to work themselves out, but I got them yesterday and they sound much better today, so its not long. Incredibly comfortable, and dont have any trouble staying on my head either. I adore the sound these produce, whether its from my Nexus 6 or my computer. Dont expect these to have a ton of bass as these are monitor headphones. Interchangeable cable is ABSOLUTELY worth picking these up over the regular M50s, spending $130-$180 on these earphones and losing them to a chewed up cable is not my idea of fun. So far Ive used these for music (Google Play Music Unlimited), gaming (iRacing, Grand Theft Auto 5, Battlefield), and a little bit of cinema (Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, classic Matrix Lobby scene), and I havent been disappointed. I came from a Logitech G35 gaming headset, which Ive owned 2 of over the last 5 years, and these have a much more clear sound, and I havent had the need to screw around with my EQ settings at all, which I almost always did on my G35. I adore how comfortable the G35 is, but these are much lighter and easier to deal with. Losing the simulated surround sound was a bit of a bummer, but I havent even noticed its gone, and Im much happier with the sound overall.
