> 3 dayWorked great for a little less than a year, but the straight cable has gotten to the point I need to have it positioned just right to not get bad static in the headphones.

06-04-2025Excellent bang for the buck. Phenomenal sound. Try these back to back with ear buds and you will be amazed. These are not good for outdoor use or any place that is hot. They tend to get heavy. Ive used this while mowing the lawn and they are not suitable or designed for this.

> 3 dayI love these headphones. I wanted something with even sound, over the ear fitment, corded and this fit the bill. I have a big and can wear them for hours at a time and they dont bother me at all.

> 3 dayI loooove these ! Arrived 2 days later than anticipated and I am so excited to own these. I love them and enjoy using them at work. I bought replacement earpads for them in a bright purple color. They cover your whole ears they are cans, and comfy! I ended up with the pleather vinyl headphone replacements instead of the velvet ones. Changed my music and podcast experience for life. I love audio technica !! BUY AUDIO TECHNICA and I love the hard protective case that came with them.

> 3 dayHeadphones good, case superfluous. These are not as great as the MDRs in terms of frequency response but detachable cables, comparable price, and not having to deal with the 6 ft. telephone coil of the Sonys is worth it to me.

> 3 dayThe Audio-Technica M50x has a cult following at this point and is without a doubt my go to headphones for under $200. The M50xs are the successor to the popular M50s and are worth the upgrade. One of the pleasant new changes to the M50X is the removable cord which means if your cord breaks you can swap it out with ease. Inside the box you get 3 cables, one coiled, one long and straight and one short cable. All the cables allow you to add the included quarter inch headphone adapter should you need it. These headphones fold up for easy storage and were not to heavy for me at all. The sound profile is the same as the M50s so nothing new there but they are still fantastic for Critical listening or just enjoying music on your phone. The M50X has a little bit more bass than its cheaper little brother the M40Xs and personally I think thats great. These headphones are better and cheaper than Beats by Dre. If you couldnt tell I love the M50Xs but if i had to find something wrong with them then it would probably be the ear pads. The leather made my ears sweat after extended use but after buying some velour ear pads this became a seat of heavenly headphones.

Greater than one weekI am not sure if I got a refurb. It was part of a daily deal and when I received them the box was not sealed (is that normal?), but the box and headphones looked pristine. The sound is really weird and unsatisfying. There is no soundstage and the sound is very boring and all over the place with weird separation. The worst part is the high end it actually irritates me to no end hear the modified high end on almost all recordings (especially distorted guitars and vocalist with gravely voices). I guess I will return and see if it is just the pair I have or if really an issue with these headphones. I am extremely disappointed as all the reviews seemed to be so positive. I really dont get it. I have much lower priced headphones that are much more enjoyable (e.g. JVC HA-RX700 $40). I also have more expensive headphones that are way better (Phillips Fidelio X1). I even tried with iPhone 6, 160G iPod, and with Fiio E11 amp and still terrible! Actually, I think everyone who thinks they love these headphones should try the Phillips Fidelio X1 or X2 and tell me if they dont see the difference in pure musical enjoyment for all genres and no amp required.
