Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Professional Monitor Headphones + Slappa Full Sized HardBody PRO Headphone Case (SL-HP-07)

I have a $65 pair of koss headphones that fit and sound better than these. These were recommended by studio friends and not worth the money at all.

I spent a long time researching a set of good,high end headphones. After reading and watching multiple reviews, I decided to go with the M50x. Man, had I been missing out. The immersion and clarity you get with these headphones is unbelievable. Well worth the price.

I hate that I love it. I bought a pair of Cloud 2 Gaming headphone to compare this to, and now I have to make a trip back to Bestbuy to return the Cloud 2s. The sound is so crisp and clear on the ATH-M50x, the mids are clean, the lows are low. I do some amateur recording with my Yeti Blue mic, and this does perfect for it. Sound isolation is great! When you are listening to stuff, you dont hear anything around you.

My profile first: a normal music listener. I mostly listen to rock, but more than occasionally I listen to hip hop, classic, acoustic and pop. What I am not is an audiophile. Having said that, I have never been happier over a headphone before. And I have never been involved in so much of music listening before. It almost feels like an addiction, like the feeling you get out of playing Grand Theft Auto, you keep going until your discover newer and newer music. music I never thought Id like and I love every bit of that journey. The lows from this headphone are so tight, that the music feels refined, the vocals are not muddled but the highs feel just right. You really hear the music as it was originally meant to be heard. This uniqueness is what I felt lacking in similarly priced Bose and Beats headphones. They felt artificial and modulated to somehow make you like them. They felt somewhat like a poor quality food with some taste enhancers added to them to make people like them. But the ATH-M50x felt like the real deal, while the other mainstream headphones felt phony. Drawbacks? Yes, The headphones feels a little too tight even after a month of regular usage. I guess thats just the size of my head.

These are exactly what everyone sais, one of the most true-sounding headphones that have graced my ears. I cant stress enough the quality sound you can hear from these. I however, am a basshead and like a lot of bass which these do not necessarily deliver. They have great clear bass that can hit just about any frequency, but the thump I desire is not there. I really would rate a 4.5 stars for these. I some-times was not missing the bass at all, but as one who loves bass I am trading for the V-Moda Crossfade M-100. The only detail keeping these from 5stars is the lack of accessories available from the manufacturer, I try not to get off-brand aftermarket items, which the V-moda shows much more variety (and reviews seem like they will have the thump I desire as well)

I have had my Amazon account for years now. Never had I ever felt the need to write a review about a product as much I have for this. These are easily the best headphones I have bought. They are one hundred percent worth the money. The case they come is very well built and will keep them safe in most conditions; personally I do not use the case as much as I would like for the sole reason that it is bulky. Mind you it is supposed to be, I just dont always use it. The headphones themselves are about perfectly balanced. If you are wanting to get some headphones to produce music or edit or just to play around these will do everything that you want and more. I cannot recommend them enough, especially for the price. I use them every single day and the only problem I have had is that if I wear them for more than six to eight hours at a time they start to bother me and I need to adjust them a little. They are incredibly well built and handling them would give you that same impression. I have had them since August last year and taken them on countless trips to all sorts of places with varying conditions and they still look new.

Ordered it 3 years ago, and still using it, still good as new. Best efficient cost-price headphone you would ever need.
