I do not use sunscreen year around, or generally at all on my children. Their skin is nicely pigmented and coconut oil is all we usually need. HOWEVER, when we go on vacation to the beech, especially at the beginning of the summer, sunscreen is a must! The only brand i have ever used, or tried, on my children is babganics. Some may complain its a little pricy but its not. Two bottles lasts this year and next! I use it on my husband he is very pale, and burns. It works wonders on children and adults. Compared to other organic brands it is one of the cheaper brands. It is not super thick nor is it greasy. Goes on easy and absorbs into skin with ease. I trust babganics brand completely. Their ingredients are definitely something to brag about! If youre looking for a safer alternative to the harsh chemicals found in most children or adult sunscreens, I cant suggest anything more than babyganics!

This is our second order of babyganics mineral based sunscreen. We use this for everyone in our house not just the three young children. I and the kids have very sensitive skin and this sunscreen works wonderfully for us. It is almost odorless and is very easy to apply. One word of caution, as with most mineral based creams you probably are going to want to apply this before getting dressed. It will leave white marks on clothing. They come out easy in the wash, but no one wants to ruin their carefully planned outfit of the day!

This sunscreen is amazing for sensitive skin. Didn’t give me or my kids a rash nor did I break out from it. The inky thing is that you should have clean skin to apply it so its easier to apply or else it gets streaky and even looks like it skips over the dirty area a bit. It just doesn’t go on very easily is what I’m trying to say. It’s very thick and gives great sun protection. Be prepared to look white from sunscreen for a bit though.

Works well. My entire family has very fair and sensitive skin, so getting a sunscreen that is somewhat healthy and easy on our skin was a top priority for our family. Specifically, we were looking for a sunscreen for our son who is three-years old. As a boy, hes very active and is always wanting to play outside. As a result, we needed something with good protection, but also something that wouldnt be putting unnecessary chemicals on his skin. Weve been using this sunscreen for over a year now and we have been very happy. When applied, out son doesnt get sunburned. I know some of the reviews mentioned the sunscreen not working, however, that has not been our experience. Additionally, the sunscreen doesnt have much of a smell, which is always an added bonus. Another bonus is that this sunscreen doesnt have a greasy feel. Now, be warned, it has more of a creamy/chalky feel when applying... but definitely not typical of your usual sunscreens. Whenever we apply the sunscreen in the mornings before our son goes to school, we usually have him keep his shirt and pants off during the application process. When we first started using this sunscreen, we would end up getting the sunscreen on his shirt around his neck, as well as, on his shirt/arm area and shorts/leg area. After we did this a few times, we noticed that the sunscreen would come out after washing his clothes, but for the day he would have a white residue on his clothes. I have used this sunscreen on both of my children all summer long. I love, love, love it. Many reviewers were upset because it leaves a streaky white color after application but it did not bother me, my children, and no one at the pool even noticed, so for the protection it provides, I dont mind how it looks. This is a very thick, creamy lotion with no funny odor like most sunscreens that are not mineral based. And at least Im able to tell if Ive missed a spot! I would recommend this sunscreen to anyone looking for a great, cheaper end, mineral based sunscreen. This has 2 bottles in the package and Ive only used about 1 and a half for the entire summer for 2 children under the age of 5, so I feel like it goes a long way.

We used to be a Coppertone family, grabbing that pink bottle every year before beach season arrived. Then a friend told me about Babyganics, and after doing a little research I decided to give it a try. It leaves behind no white residue after being rubbed in, and it doesnt have an odor like most other sunscreens have. (Truth be told I love that smell but some other people dont.) Most importantly, after 2 weeks at an ocean beach, my little one came home just as pale as when wed left the arctic tundra of NWPA. So it prevents burns just fine. While I dont concern myself with what the EWG says about sunscreen (I find them to be excessively alarmist) this did rank high on their list of sunscreens if that is a concern you have. I believe the only thing that I find to be a negative about this particular sunscreen is how expensive it is, or rather how expensive its GOTTEN. I got 2 for $15 last year and now its averaging about $10 a bottle. Seems like quite a jump.

Great sunscreen for myself and my babies. I use this because it gets an Environmental Working Group rating of 2 (when I checked), it is thick like all mineral sunscreens but it rubs in pretty easily, and it is affordable. I need a lot of it because daycare sends the babies outside for 1.5 hours a day year-round. It doesnt smell and it works for hours after application (I put it on at 6am and it appears to still protect my toddler through 11am, even though it is only rated for 2 hours after application). My kids have sensitive skin and have never had issue with this.

Rubs in great, and smell isnt bad. Feels good to my skin and my kids dont complain about it running in eyes or how it feels

This sunblock outperforms almost every other brand weve tested. We spent 8 hours on the beach yesterday, reapplying every hour and the children didnt have any issues with burning. Its a bit thick compared to other brands weve used, but its a great quality product so I can definitely deal with that.

So far, so good, thank heavens! This is the ONLY sunscreen product or sunscreen containing cosmetic Ive found that SEEMS to work for my skin. ALL others have made me break out quite badly, immediately and are very opaque in appearance, i.e., very ugly, I mean like going around with a greasy-looking, Plaster of Paris mask on! (Most refer to clear zinc oxide content, but what Ive experienced is certainly NOT clear, and is extremely difficult to remove ~ one left behind white fuzz and grit, after repeated washing and other cleansing)! Although Ive only used Babyganics once AND only briefly, this is quite light in consistency, I had no adverse reactions or difficulty in cleaning / removal, as with ALL the others!
