Bernat Blanket Bright Yarn, Carrot Orange

Greater than one weekAfter I made my first Afghan for my family using this wonderful, thick, squishy, warm, colorful yarn, everyone wanted one. Im glad they have so many wonderful colors to combine and they sure are a big hit with everyone Ive made gifts for. I always include one of the paper bands that secure the ball/skein and point out the washing instructions, since the material is 100% polyester. The resulting material is wonderfully soft and strong.

> 3 dayLove this yarn. It’s so soft. It makes a warm blanket. Since the string is thick a beginner with a large hook should find this product easy to work with. It is also easy to rip stitches out if you make a mistake while crocheting with the yarn. Only drawback is the price. It can be expensive when making a pattern. I recommend practicing with a less expensive yarn before buying this for a beginner with a project in mind.

Greater than one weekThis has been my go-to yarn for making couch/nap afghans for myself and my grown kids. Bernat blanket yarn is always reliable; so soft and spongey and very easy to work with, making it perfect for beginner crocheters. As an added bonus, it works up at lightning speed compared to worsted weight yarn, thanks to its heavier weight. Unlike some yarns, your blankets can be easily washed and dryed without issues, which makes it perfect for the cat mats I’ve crocheted for my kitties (who love them!). I only buy it from Amazon in case of emergency, though (when I need a specific color and can’t it find locally), since JoAnn sometimes puts it on 50% off and I shop the sales.
